Budget Groups based on Custom field

Hello Team,

I have query, can we have the "Budget On" under Create Budget( in Budget Groups) configured on custom fields.

When I click on the "Budget On" dropdown I could only see the standard fields, is there a way to configure the budget groups on custom fields(calculating promotion correction,market correction etc..) created on the comp plan?

Hi safeenabegum as per our discussion I wasn't able to add custom fields to this old budget group feature which I haven't used in 8 years. I would recommend against using them since they are not dynamic and if an employee moves from Country A to Country B during or right before salary planning forms are launched the employee will not get moved dynamically from one budget group to another (unlike other budgets configuration that do). What was the requirement here for the use of these budget groups ? Thank you

Hello Xavier,

Thanks a lot.Sure would advise the same to the customer.The reason why I was looking for budget groups is because the customer wants to keep a track of the budget based on the departments they have.So I thought of trying out this feature.Please do let me know if we can achieve this in any other way apart from the lookup table.

If so, custom fields will appear if they are read-only and reportable.
