Birthday and Anniversary alerts to the employees in SuccessFactors

Hope you are doing well!

We have configured Birthday Notification for one our client with the help of below blog:

But the issue is the notification doesn't triggered for every employee, sometime employees receives and sometimes they don't. When we run the job through integration Centre, it sends email to all the employees in a go(attaching screenshot, the system has updated automatically todays date for all employees) which is impacting the way of work.

There was an employee who had birthday on 2nd May 2023 and he didn't received email, and when we checked in "Manage Data" for "Birthday", found that external name was missing once we updated and saved it sent the email to employee. Here the concern is the employees without external name updated in Manage Data were receiving the Birthday Email. Attaching screenshot for your reference.

Hi Roshni,

Do a mapping for external name similar to external code/map display name to external name of the employee in integration center.

Also please check your rule, date should come from biographical information for anniversary and birthday and year should be current year.

check mapping for birthday if you have mapped date of birth to custom field which holds date of birth in birthday and same goes with anniversary.

In alert make sure you put criteria , that if date of birth is matching today's date and is not null then trigger alert, this will not create alert for all employees at once.

Another thing on employees not receiving notification, there might be inactive employees for inactive employee mdf alert wont trigger.

Best would be to map external name as well and check the rules accordingly.

Why not just set a default value for external name then in the object? That should resolve the issue then?
