Banner/Background Image uploading access to employee

Hi Community,

Can we restrict employee access to the Banner/Background Image settings so that they can only select images from the existing library? Employees should not have the ability to upload or use any images that are not already available in the library.

Yes, it's possible to restrict this access - we have done so in our environment.
You can control the settings and the images available in the library via: Configure People Profile, then selecting General Settings

Thank you for your response.

I want to clarify that our requirement is to restrict employees from uploading any images other than those available in the library. We don’t want to completely remove access for employees; we just want to ensure they can only use the existing images.

If we follow the steps you suggested, it seems we would be removing access altogether, which isn’t our intention.

Could we discuss alternative solutions that allow restricted uploads while still providing access to the library?

This configuration will allow you to do exactly what you are trying to achieve. This is how we have our instance configured as our aim was the same as yours - allow users to change their background image but prevent them from being able to upload their own images and only allow them to select from "approved" images that we have provided.

But will only be able to select from the images that you have enabled in "Manage background image library", like this:
