Has anyone created an Author Guidelines document that I can leverage? Or, does anyone know where I can get an example of one? I just need a starting point and something to reference my document from.
Request clarification before answering.
Personally, I find that I don't often have to develop an SAP Enable Now Style Guide. Usually my recommendation is to take the existing client Styles & Standards (there should be one), customize SEN to match that (colors, logos, Book Page templates etc.), and then add the statement "use all the SEN defaults" to that guide. SEN does a pretty good job of enforcing standardization/consistency and taking decisions out of Authors' hands (or at least will default everything, so authors have to work at doing things wrong...). Any other guidelines (from word choice to capitalization of titles, to bubble positioning, etc.) tends to vary by company. Put your efforts into building the Authoring Settings, Playback Settings, and trainer Style.

I'm sorry, that's part of the consultant info center.
When I create an Authoring Guide, I give all information for the authors which are relevant for their work. If a question comes up the answer should be in the authoring guide. If not then the master author shall be asked.
I mention the following in the authoring guide:
1. Settings for every user
2. Settings in Producer (which shall be selected in different scenarios)
3. Custom properties
It depends on the project what and how much shall be recored. An authoring guide ensures that everything is created in the same way.
BR,
Peter

There is an existing template for the authoring guide available in the Info Center (but I do not know the exact path by heart).
