Association from Picklist field (Employment Type) to Generic Object (Work Schedule) feasibility?

Hi All,

We have a requirement to Create Association from Picklist field (Employment Type) to Generic Object (Work Schedule)

Parent : Employment Type (Picklist)

Child: Work Schedule (Object)

Requirement: when the value selected for Picklist field is "FT Hourly Non Exempt" only the Associated Work schedule values be displayed in the Drop down of work schedule field.

Is it feasible to create association from a picklist field to Generic Objects?

Worth the try if you really want this, but I doubt this will be feasible. Work schedules keep changing and if you want to do it for only that one employment type, it automatically means for every employment type you need to define everything specifically as well for the others (which will result in some practical complications for those), not to mention the work schedules.

I think the easiest way out may be a warning/error (onSave) when selecting the wrong work schedules with the above mentioned employment type.
