1H2025 Release: What is the purpose of the new Standard Element of Company

We already have Legal Entity in Employee Central and this information is attached to every hire already.  What additional benefits will we gain by configuring Company as a Standard element in our EC config if all it's going to do is sync with the existing Legal Entity?  If we choose NOT to enable this new standard element, are we going to be missing out on any other related benefits?

Would be interested to understand how other customers are using this.

SAP has introduced this standard element in employee profile. Most of the companies created a custom string in employee profile to capture this. SAP has not provided much information but the plan might be using this in the latest people profile(profile preview, spotlight or full profile), as they are more focused in that area.
