Hi Team,
We are testing this release item of deleting a vacant position with successor on it. My understanding is that this error occurs only when the entire position is being deleted from the system.
But the check seems to be on every row of the position. Even if the HR tries to delete the top of the stack row on the position to correct that position, it is not allowing them to delete and throwing a popup error message stating that "You can't delete the position as it has successor nomination records".
This enhancement is not a valid enhancement if it is not allowing the HR or admin team to delete the unwanted rows from the position.
Is any other customer facing this issue? How this can be resolved?

**Edited with a workaround**
Hi,
We're also facing the same issue. The system behavior seems to allow new records to be created and any existing records can be edited, but no records can be deleted (this is via the UI as well as when importing).
Even when all nominations have been removed from the position (and even from the incumbent previously tied to the position), the error message will still return in Manage Positions and via import (Import and Export Data).
**Per the following Community Article, it is possible to delete a position via Data Retention Management (the position has to be purged). It still does not address the error returned when deleting a record within Manage Positions, however.
