I met James Sinclair just over three years ago. He had fire in his belly. He had a vision for building extensions to Employee Central, at a time when some others were doubting whether the product would fly. I found his vision compelling and refreshing. He saw the potential for HCP and SuccessFactors together. He precisely understood platform as a service. I wondered though, if he had the business acumen to build this into a genuine scale business. I needn't have worried. I hadn't yet met the other half of the mighty Sinclair gang, the CEO, Emma.
Having been the youngest person to IPO a company in the UK, Emma has
business skills galore. Working together, Emma and James are building something rather special with
Enterprise Jungle.
It is very cool to see their latest offering getting significant traction in the market: Alumni Management. Read the
press release with Lufthansa. and see the solution in the
app center.
SAP has also deployed it.
I'm also curious about their
pilot app too, given all the success we are having in the airline industry.
This is a solid vindication of the SucccessFactors HCP extension model. I'd like to thank my colleagues in the HCP team too, Filip, Bjoern, Marc; Yariv and others that have championed Enterprise Jungle and other early adopters, big (
Accenture) and small (
Semos).
With the launch of the SuccessFactors app center, we created a place where customers can easily access the growing list of extension solutions.
Check it out. Details in the
press release. There are well over 100 partner apps in the center now, and more on the way.
We believe that we don't have a monopoly on HCM innovation. While we continue to make a massive investment in SuccessFactors, we know we can't think of and build everything. We see partners and start ups with great ideas, and we want them to succeed for the benefit of our customers. With our colleagues at HCP, our ecosystem of partners and our fantastic customer base, we are just getting this party started.
