SAP SuccessFactors' built-in Cross-module interaction has come a long way in the last couple of years, especially after the introduction of MDF (Meta Data Framework). The Cross-module interaction within the HXM suite is one of the strong points and criteria that makes SuccessFactors apart from its competitors in the Cloud HR systems.
The Data & Process flows among HXM Suite is commonly referred to as Cross-module Interaction (not integration), primarily because connecting one module with the other is a configurable activity within the SuccessFactors HXM Suite, and doesn't require a middleware or coding.

There are a couple of exceptions to this, e.g. with modules Learning and Analytics.

Keeping up with the objective to empower and support partners as well as customers with all provisions for a successful HXM implementation, we have updated the SAP SuccessFactors Cross Modules (SCFM_SC_EN) Program as part of 1H 2020. You can access this course with an SAP Learning Hub license here. Link to the Cross-module course. Alternatively you can search for the course program with the text ' SAP SuccessFactors Cross Modules'.

If you have previously completed this course and the assessment, you have to retake the assessments to stay current and claim your Badge!

Some of the existing sections were updated, and new sections were added as part of 1H 2020. The Cross-Module course is an open-ended Program that requires about 8 hrs. to complete. This course will enable you to understand how the SAP SuccessFactors modules interact, including shared objects and user data. This knowledge is critical for the Solution/Cloud Architect as they are called upon to provide clients with this information as well as provide clients with bird-view picture of the benefits of the connected modules.

One of the notable additions to the course framework is the section “Cross-Module Configuration Recommendations: RCM to ONB 2.0 to EC”. The Cross-module interaction related configurations between Recruiting, Onboarding 2.0, and Employee central is very different than its predecessor version with Onboarding 1.0.

We hope this course will provide you with necessary overview among cross-module data interactions and process interactions as well as the Onboarding 2.0 related configuration decisions. This course is not supposed to include detailed configuration steps, you can access the Academy courses or SAP Help link for the same.
