SuccessFactors AI - AI-Assisted Goal Creation (Set up and hints)

AI Assisted Performance and Development Goal Creation is related to the latest version of the PMGM Module and helps your employees / manager creating better and smarter goals.

The effort to implement it is very low.

Create personal goals, including performance and development goals, based on an employee’s description of what they want to achieve. Upon content review, if users update their input and regenerate content, they can compare the original content with AI-generated content and choose which one to use.

To get the goal creation tool activated some small steps are needed.

1. Fullfill the pre-requisites: you have to have licenses for AI Units and use the newest version of Goal Management

2. Activate the function

With the AI Units you will find a new admin page in SuccessFactors where you can activate AI Scenarios (AI Service Administration). Grant the permissions to this page to your user to manage the AI Scenarios.

In this application (AI Service Administration) you have to activate Assisted Performance Goals and/or Assisted Development Goal. With this setting you have activated the function in overall.

3. Assign permissions to your users

To make sure users can use the function add the scenarios to the relevant permission roles.

With activation of AI functions we have a new RBP category available under user permissions -> AI Access

Select the "Assisted Performance Goals" and/ or "Assisted Development Goals" permissions.

DONE 😉

Result:

Your users can now find the AI function during Goal Creation.

Let us have a look to Performance Goals. Users can create a new Goal based on the regular functions (e.g. from scratch) or they can now use the AI to help them to generate it.

After adding the title of the goal you can press the "generate" button and AI will do the magic.

Our Business AI functions has filled all the fields including customer fields.

Based on the Goal Template where you define the fields in the background the promt is generated, result is created and shown on the UI.

Employees has to validate the result and can change if needed.

Here they can also use the "AI Assisted Writing" Options if activated (SuccessFactors AI - AI-assisted writing and writin... - SAP Community)

For transparency reason, people who can see the employees goal can also see that the Goal was created by the usage of AI.
