To remain competitive in today's fast-paced business climate, organizations must focus on providing opportunities for their employees to develop and grow. By prioritizing workforce agility and growth, organizations can boost the employee experience and increase operational efficiencies. With the SAP SuccessFactors Second Half 2022 Release, we will be delivering innovations and enhancements that will help organizations create a more agile, engaged, and future-ready workforce.

Here are a few of the latest innovations you will find in this release:

Dynamic Teams

We are excited to announce the Early Adopter (EA) version of dynamic teams features. Within the EA version, any customer can access these new system capabilities to create and manage teams that exist beyond traditional hierarchies. Organizations that use the SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals solution can add objectives and key results (OKRs) to track progress and measure success. Additionally, employees and dynamic teams can be matched based on what people know, not whom they know, within the SAP SuccessFactors Opportunity Marketplace solution. This helps make personal growth opportunities more equitable.

Growth Portfolio and Skills Ontology

We are also introducing a new set of intelligent technology features, using machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI), as part of our Early Adopter (EA) program for select customers. The growth portfolio allows individuals to add, rate, and accept recommended skills and competencies without the use of performance management forms. As the next evolution of the capabilities portfolio, the growth portfolio moves us toward full support of the whole-self model attributes. Customers will soon be able to test our machine-learning-based skills inferences, with a specific timeframe to follow. In this first iteration, we are incorporating Microsoft Graph data (Microsoft Teams membership, Distribution List membership, and Calendar Events), which is used to infer the skills an individual may already have. These are presented as recommended skills in the growth portfolio.

User Experience Designed for HXM

With this release, we are excited to announce the addition of two more quick actions on the home page. Users can quickly navigate to their favorite reports or provide feedback via the Give Feedback quick action. In addition, a number of usability improvements are included in this release, helping to ensure greater responsiveness of the home page as well as provide more flexibility for administrators, managers, and users to interact with and manage content. We are also beginning to roll out the new Horizon theme for SAP Fiori in select SAP SuccessFactors solutions and pages. Available as an opt-in feature, users will enjoy modern visual elements and an updated color palette.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging

As part of our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, we are taking important steps to help every individual be seen and valued. Users can now indicate their chosen name, personal pronouns, and gender directly within the People Profile. This information is displayed more consistently across SAP SuccessFactors solutions, helping to foster a greater sense of belonging.

Guided Experience for Onboarding

With the SAP SuccessFactors Work Zone solution, we provide a personalized digital work experience that connects employees and boosts productivity. We are pleased to address a top customer request with the addition of a guided experience template for new hire onboarding. Covering key phases of the new hire journey, this template helps empower employees with the tools and information they need, both before and after hiring. By bringing together SAP SuccessFactors solutions and third-party integrations, organizations can more efficiently handle an array of complex onboarding processes.

Cross-System Workflow

We are also unveiling a new cross-system workflow capability for processes that involve multiple users from multiple systems, such as SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and the payroll component of SAP ERP HCM. A guided activity framework for key processes helps to improve the data maintenance experience and end-to-end HR process visibility for a hybrid deployment of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. The cross-system workflow utilizes SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) and will be available through the SAP Early Adopter Care program with an additional license.
