Over the last few years, the world has evolved to become almost entirely digital-first, and talent acquisition teams have experienced a growing need to accomplish most day-to-day tasks virtually. HR professionals are being tasked with finding ways to continue to adapt their processes to meet the needs of a hybrid workforce, while leveraging the tools available to them.

Interviews – and the activities that surround them – are a critical element to identifying and hiring the best talent, and with many roles and candidates moving remote, it has become imperative for interviews to be created and hosted virtually.

With the 2H 2023 release, SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting now offers an integration with Microsoft Teams allowing recruiters and interview organizers to easily include virtual meeting details within the interview confirmation email that goes out to candidates and interviewers.

Listed below are a few key takeaways of this integration: 

  • If you are a customer who is already using the Interview Scheduling Outlook Integration solution, you don’t need to change anything in the system for the Microsoft Teams integration feature to work. You will see a new toggle on the Interview Scheduling page which allows you to host an interview using Microsoft Teams. However, if you do not wish to use the new feature, please disable the setting in the Manage Recruiting Settings page. For more information: Setting up an Interview with Microsoft Teams. 




  • It is important to note that the Microsoft Teams Integration with Interview Scheduling feature is independent of the Interview Scheduling Outlook Integration. You do not need to set up or subscribe to the Outlook integration solution to use the Microsoft Teams capability.

With the configurations and setup in place, you are now ready to use Recruiting’s Interview Scheduling functionality with Microsoft Teams to host interviews virtually.

I am excited to be able to share this update with customers as they have been asking for this for a long time, but one thing I am not clear on is how the MS Teams link is shared with the candidate so they can join the interview?

I want to implement the integration for both Outlook and Teams with interview scheduler but the Microsoft Outlook and Teams Integration.link is broken?

Thank you for posting your question here.

The MS Teams link will be shared in the emails sent to candidates, organizers and interviewers. These are recruiting email trigger emails that need to be enabled for interview scheduling to function as needed. Please refer to the guide topic here that has all the details.

Hello, can you confirm that there is no data centre restriction on this? It will be available on all? I have seen conflicting blogs and comments on this.

Are we the only ones that do not find sufficient to have the Teams link only through the "Interview Confirmation to Candidate" email trigger? Normally, interviewers do not wait for candidates to confirm the interview in order to consider the interview scheduled. Thus, the candidate doesn't receive the Teams link automatically.

Do you know any other way to send the Teams link when we schedule an interview as booked?

We are already using Outlook integration for interview scheduling but for MS Teams Integration set up we are  stuck in User Mappings section in WOrk Tech config page. Also, are the permissions set in Test environment would be different  than in Prod?

Hello Experts,

 

@aparnaparamesh .Our client has enabled this MS teams integration. And we received following feedback on the functionality. Can you please confirm the system behavior and other workaround to handle this business cases.

 

1.Coordinators do not get acceptances or declines from business
2.Scheduling via Teams sends confirmation to candidate immediately, not allowing time for business to let us know if proposed time works
3.Recruiters are not being copied on calendar invites with the business, even when added to the "assigned to" section - will only receive confirmation email candidate receives
4.Rescheduling interviews results in 6 emails total to candidate and is very confusing for them
5.Can scheduler time zone be updated according to location?
6.Cannot check room availability through scheduler - coordinator needs to go into Outlook and check room availability before scheduling
7.Cannot schedule loops - need to do each interviewer individually - 3 emails per person per meeting

my customer raised security concern: the range of permissions that have to be granted to service account in Microsoft is to wide.

How is security risk handled by SAP?

Hope you're doing well.

One of my customers are implementing SF Recruitment, Onboarding and EC and would like to use teams for interview scheduling. Once we enable teams integration, does it mean that teams link will be available in EC as well or can it be restricted only for interviews?

If so, could you please share the guide only for teams integration with recruitment?

To our understanding when the Teams integration is enabled, and a interview is scheduled, the teams link is automatically set to "on".

However, our recruiters are having trouble identifying whether the Teams button is switched on or off.

It would be easier if the buttons where either green/red when on/off or if a wording is shown. 

Does anyone know if there is already and enhancement request regarding this topics?
