With the 1H 2022 release now in preview, I wanted to provide a quick overview of some of the enhancements for SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting. With this release, we have several configuration enhancements, providing admins with more self-service options and greater flexibility. In addition, we’re pleased to highlight the new ‘Candidate Talent Pools’ Quick Action on the latest Home Page and seven new job boards added to the Job Board Market Place.
While all of these items – plus a few more – can be found on the
What’s New Viewer, the below provides a quick snapshot of the highlights in a few key areas:
User Experience Enhancements
‘Candidate Talent Pools’ Quick Actions on the latest Home Page: With this release, we’ve added a Quick Action which takes users directly to the Talent Pools tab of the Candidates Page. Quick Actions are visible based on role-based permission and system configuration. Click here for a complete view of the Quick Actions, Approvals, and For You Today tasks now available on the Home Page for SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting.
Typeahead support for picklist fields on Candidate Profile and Job Application pages: From an applicant perspective, we’ve enhanced the Picklist fields on these pages with a type ahead function to make it easier to select from the pre-defined options.
Autopopulated subject line in Recruiting email campaigns: When selecting a template from the Content Template dropdown list, the Email Subject Line is now automatically populated with the text configured in the template. While this text is editable, the auto-population ensures consistency with the template. In addition, based on customer feedback, the template fields have been rearranged to place the subject line directly above the content field.
Automatic upgrade to Autocomplete Search: Released as part of the Universal People Search in previous releases, the
Autocomplete Search provides an improved search experience to find relevant employees in Job Requisition, Offer, Interview, or any other page in SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting. This feature has now been enabled for customers.
Job Posting Enhancements
Post externally posted private jobs to job boards: With this enhancement, you can now post the externally private posted jobs to job boards even though the job is not publicly posted to the external corporate sites. We’ve made this enhancement as some countries and regions, legally, have to post jobs on specific job boards for a specific time period before posting on the external career site.
New Job Boards in the Job Board Market Place: 7 new job boards have been added to the Job Board Market Place, including:
- FlexCareers – Australia
- Figaro Emploi – France
- Myjob.ch – Switzerland
- Nzzjobs – Switzerland
- PublicJobs – Switzerland
- Zentraljob.ch – Switzerland
- Career Junction – South Africa
Configuration & Process Enhancements
Anonymize selected job applications in Recruiting: While creating a purge request for inactive job applications from the Data Retention Management admin tool, you now have a new option, Selected Job Applications, which anonymizes the sensitive data on a list of job applications that you can upload in CSV format. This enhancement enables users to create a purge request to anonymize job applications that were misses during initial anonymization without the need to contact Product Support.
See demo here.
Migration of job role tags from Job Description Manager to Job Profile Builder: If you're using Job Description Manager (JDM) and want to switch to Job Profile Builder (JPB) to use job profiles, you no longer need to migrate the job role tags manually. When you switch to JPB by enabling the Use Job Profiles in Requisitions option in Admin Center > Manage Recruiting Settings, a new background job now migrates the job role tags, as well as the competencies, from JDM to JPB.
Lithuanian Locale Support: SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting now supports Lithuanian locale (lt_LT) as a language option and is available to all customers. As an admin, you can enable the Lithuanian locale in the system so that people in your organization can choose it in their personal language settings.
Click here for a complete list of supported languages and locales.
Manual user synchronization of recruiting posting users: With this release, admins can now allow new users to access the job posting tools as needed, with the ability to trigger the synchronization of recruiting posting users manually. This eliminates the previous wait time required for a scheduled automatic sync or the need to raise a support ticket. For admins who have the Manage Recruiting Posting permission, the sync can now be manually triggered with the click of a button.
Integration Enhancements
HardstopStatus field added to Story Reports: The standard job requisition field hardstopStatus is now available in Story Reports for job requisitions. This field is used in third-party integrations, such as assessment integrations, where it indicates the status beyond which a candidate cannot proceed in the application pipeline without completion of assessments. Users will now be able to include this field in their Story Reports when analyzing the current applicant status.
Replacement of DocuSign Authentication Method for Recruiting Integrations: For customers using SAP Signature Management by DocuSign, it is important to note an upcoming change to the authentication method that requires action. The existing settings that enable electronic signature functionality in SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting offer letters are being replaced with new fields due to DocuSign changing its authentication method from basic to OAuth 2.0. Recruiting customers using basic authentication for DocuSign need to update their configuration settings by September 2022.

We are excited to deliver these new innovations and continue our path to HXM with our Recruiting customers. For full details, please check out the
