Earlier in October, we made the exciting
announcement that SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central reached the 4,000 customer milestone. We obviously could not have done this without you, and we are very thankful. While a lot has changed since our initial customers signed-on to SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, one thing has not; we remain focused on innovation and your success.
Hopefully, you had an opportunity to attend one of our virtual SuccessConnect events, especially the informative
Core HR and Payroll roadmap session. You’ll need to be
registered for the event in order to access the content.
While that session gave our roadmap for the future, let’s now focus on some of the new capabilities coming in the 2H 2020 release. Check out a
new release video from Bianka Woelke, VP of Product Management, regarding what’s new in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding. To get into the details, I would highly recommend checking out our
“What’s New Viewer”, as we have 70 updates around SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.
Hiring Templates
In this release, we’re excited to provide greater flexibility in supporting company and country-specific requirements during the hiring process. Companies can create templates to capture information to support different hiring processes. Additionally, new capabilities include the ability to add, remove, and re-order information blocks. This will help to accelerate the onboarding of employees in a way that meets the unique needs of each organization. For more information, see this topic in the
What’s New Viewer.
Internal Job History
And finally, we’re delivering new capabilities that highlight important job changes and offer powerful insights to assist in making critical business decisions. You receive an easy-to-configure block designed to accommodate company-specific needs, including the ability to add custom fields. This not only reduces navigation time but also alleviates the need for additional permissions. For more information, see this topic in the What’s New Viewer.

Master Data Services
We are also providing two new master data services: Job Classification and HR Organizational Units. These master data services allow you to better manage your external workforce with integration into SAP Fieldglass. With one data model across all SAP business applications, you gain a more simplified approach to integrations that result in better end-to-end processes. For more information, get further details in the What’s New Viewer
here (job classification) and
here (organizational unit).

Global Benefits
We’ve enhanced the ability to import key benefits data into SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. This enables a more streamlined and accurate process for insurance, pensions, deductible allowances, and savings plans. For more information, see this topic in the
What’s New Viewer.
Qualtrics Integration
We’re also pleased to support integration between Qualtrics and global benefits in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. This enhancement enables companies to gather and take action on direct employee feedback regarding benefits. The survey launches after the employee has submitted their benefits selection. For more information, see this topic in the
What’s New Viewer.
Additionally, you can ensure that you take the pulse of employees who experience changes at work. Leveraging intelligent services, you can automatically send pulse surveys to employees who are placed on a global assignment, assigned concurrent employment, who experience a managerial change, and when they leave the organization. For more information, see these topics in the What’s New Viewer
here (concurrent employment),
here (global assignment),
here (change in manager), and
here (end of employment).
