Dear SAP SuccessFactors Community,
It is time to write about the latest updates and enhancements on the SAP Best Practices for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. Let me introduce you to all the highlights of our 1808 release on 8
th of October 2018:
To serve our customer’s local requirements with pre-defined business configuration, we have added eleven more localized SAP Best Practices country versions to the scope:
- EMEA: Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Netherlands
- North America: Canada
- Latin America: Brazil, Colombia, Mexico
- Asia Pacific: India, New Zealand, Singapore
These localized country versions (except New Zealand) are not as deeply localized than the ones for our existing countries Australia, China Mainland, France, Germany, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the United States, but will be deepened over time.
As part of the pre-configured scope of these
light localizations we deliver the common country-specific objects, validations and picklists as well as sample workflows, organization, pay and job structures and role-based permissions. The country versions for Brazil, Netherlands, New Zealand and Switzerland currently miss SAP Best Practices for Time Off. However, for China Mainland SAP Best Practices for Time Off were added.
Besides adding new scope, we have improved the existing one based on product enhancements and feedback from Customers, Partners and SAP Professional Services. As such we are now using the
event derivation instead of the manual choice of event reasons. You can also benefit from improved business rules for HR Core Transactions, country specific Role Based Permissions for the HR Administrator and all employees, a newly created workflow rule for Dependents Management which is triggered when a change is made to the dependents data in ESS and many other minor enhancements.
The entire scope of the SAP Best Practices for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central is shown in the graphic below:
