When your employees talk to the people in their lives about their work, what stories do they tell? The truth is, your people encounter any number of challenges, resources, people, tasks, and events at your company. Over time, these accumulate to become your people's collective "employee experience," and this is hugely influential in determining how productive and committed they are at work, and whether they stay.
In today's increasingly digitalized world, technology and tools in the workplace are key contributors to your people's employee experience. At SAP SuccessFactors we know this is more than just designing pretty, easy-to-use screens. It's about facilitating people to do their best work by easily and intuitively connecting them to the things they most need across all the tasks and processes they complete. It's about people-centric, rather than transaction-centric, design.
This quarter we focused on enhancing both web and mobile experiences to improve usability, enhance employee engagement, and connect people intuitively with the information and tasks that matter for their success.
First, we began our multi-release effort to deliver a mobile-first
reimagined talent experience that empowers employees to own their development and growth so they can create their path to success, no matter where they are or what they are working on. In September we delivered a more seamless connection between mobile Continuous Performance Management (CPM) activities and Learning, supporting end-to-end development by enabling employees to create CPM achievements directly from their completed learning courses, for example. In addition, employees can now add and edit career development goals alongside their performance goals in the mobile app. They can also leverage machine learning-driven Learning Recommendations on mobile, engaging them in an anytime, anywhere personalized development experience that feeds back to their ongoing performance and growth within your company.
Additionally, we brought greater flexibility and ease of use to key
self-service transactions in the mobile app, including enhanced capabilities to enter and edit time worked, enhanced approvals, support for nontraditional shifts like partial weeks and half-day time off, and enhanced views of current and future time balance.
Finally, we applied a people-centric philosophy toward enhancing the SAP SuccessFactors web homepage with
key capabilities that further the connections between people and the things they most need in order to succeed at work. For instance, HR administrators can now create business rules-driven tiles and leverage easier admin tools for setting up and editing tiles that appear in people's homepages, helping influence the experience people have with their first point of entry to the HR solution. Individuals can also take advantage of the Tile Wizard enhancements making it easier to personalize their homepage experience and drive their workplace experience overall.
SAP SuccessFactors recognizes that the employee experience of your people is a critical driver of your company's success, both directly through their performance and indirectly through the stories they tell your potential future talent. We continue to innovate in enabling you to provide the tools and technology that engage, connect, and facilitate people to thrive.
