As the world inches closer to a new normal, organizations of all sizes are reopening and looking to bring employees back to the workplace. For many, this can be an exciting time to return to the comfort of pre-pandemic life. But for others, the continued uncertainty and potential health risks are top of mind. To combat these fears and maintain a safe work environment, organizations must look for innovative ways to manage this long-awaited return.
Vaccinations and contact tracing have proven to be critical in helping to track and minimize the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Just as governments around the world have implemented these strategies, businesses and other organizations are looking to do the same. While this may seem like a daunting and expensive task, it does not have to be. SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central customers have access to a
free tool to monitor employee health and vaccination data.
Leveraging the flexible metadata framework (MDF) technology already built into SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, a new
Health and Vaccine Tracking Portlet enables customers to store and monitor key data. This portlet, developed by SAP, is available within the Upgrade Center at no cost and can be customized to meet a variety of monitoring needs:
- Monitor and track employee health and vaccination status within People Profile
- Vaccination status (fully vaccinated, first dose complete, planned, declined, etc.)
- Health status tracking through common questions derived from various health authorities worldwide (WHO, CDC, etc.)
- Produce analytics to identify and support high-risk employees based on location, business unit, department age, work area, and more
Always consult with legal counsel to ensure compliance with local data privacy laws and regulations
Employees can access the portlet directly within their People Profile and can input key health and vaccine information
(Figure 1). By combining this with existing SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central data, practical real-time analytics can be used to help safely bring employees back to the workplace
(Figure 2). Identifying high-risk areas enables organizations to determine which employees can return to the workplace or be approved for travel.
