SuccessFactors Employee Central has rich, effective-dated data.  The SuccessFactors Talent profile is not effective dated but has several fields that need to "fed" from Employee Central such as names, phone numbers, and job titles.

How does this data stay in sync? Dual entry? Interoffice memo? Fax? No. This synchronization happens automatically through a process called HRIS Sync. Many fields such last first name and last name will synchronize automatically without any work at all.  However, HRIS Sync can be adjusted so that customers can (for example) add custom fields to the Talent Profile and have them fed from a custom field in Employee Central.

In this video, we explain the HRIS Sync process and how it keeps the Talent Profile up to date with the latest information from SuccessFactors Employee Central, including future-dated changes.
