Version 2411
In Release 2H 2023, SAP introduced a modern and state-of-the-art Career Site Job Search, along with job layout and administration updates for SuccessFactors Recruiting Career Site Builder (CSB).
The new job search is more intuitive and attractive, resembling common e-commerce platforms. It offers enhanced customization and design options. Location-based search is crucial for candidates, and the new job search provides significant technical improvements in location-related posting and search, including a very useful Google Job Map.
The technical term in SuccessFactors documentation is the Career Site Builder Unified Data Model, indicating closer integration of underlying data models.
As a customer or administrator, you can configure the new job search independently without the help of SAP or Partner.
In this overview, I will highlight some major updates from both perspectives - of SuccessFactors Consultant and HR Recruiting User. Please share your questions, thoughts, and experiences to foster discussion and mutual learning.
The new Career Site Job Search offers numerous design options, improved filtering, and better search content presentation.
Previously, achieving such a display required custom code (JavaScript in CSB). Now, you can easily achieve it with standard tools in CSB.
For candidates, the search experience is similar to e-commerce platforms—more intuitive, informative, and attractive. Search results are now called Result Cards, and both the search bar and the entire search form can be customized based on the brand.
Further the integrated Google Map is now available and can be very much customized. (You can activate or deactivate the Google Map, if you use it, do not forget to include the corresponding cookies in your cookie manager).

The new job layout offers more flexibility. You can now decide where to display the search bar and customize the Apply Button to fit your needs, as both have become customizable components in the job layout designer.
Many customers have requested flexibility and customization in these aspects. Previously, we tried to achieve this with custom code in CSB. Now, it can be done easily with standard tools in CSB, tailored to each job layout.
This helps candidates focus on job details and makes it easier for them to press APPLY.
With the Unified Data Model activated, the Job Layout rules become much easier, because ALL the Job Requisition fields are available for Layout Rules directly, including the field IDs displayed. This is a great improvement for defining Layout. Previously you had to define a Layout-Filter-Field and first post at least one job per filter value in order to set up the rules.
I have pointed out some of the major updates. There are also interesting updates to Category Pages, Job Lists, Rules and Alerts. Please find the full list in the What's New Viewer.
As Admin for your SuccessFactors Suite you can configure all steps on your own. However it might be good to involve your Implementation Partner if you feel unsure.
You need to follow in detail the steps described here: Preparing Recruiting Data for the Career Site Builder Unified Data Model.
Although it might look like some effort, it can be done easily and quick. Try it first in your TEST Environment before moving to PROD.
