Hi everyone! Can’t believe 2024 is almost over. Hopefully it is going as well for you as it is for our favorite product “SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll” 😉. It took center stage at the recently concluded SuccessConnect event in Lisbon, Portugal. Do watch the key sessions on-demand here including the keynote by SAP SuccessFactors’ President and Chief Product Officer Daniel Beck. I am excited to write this blog to cover the second half SAP SuccessFactors 2024 release! Have a look at the What's New Viewer for the full release notes and all of the details for everything we are delivering.

 

New Local Version – Croatia

With this release we are excited to now provide the ability to run SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll for Croatia. This now brings our localized versions to 52 native locales. (See the full list on our localization site with a cool interactive map). Native local country versions support our global base of customers with a local, compliant, and proven payroll platform. We also have five additional partner countries available as described in SAP KBA 3031216 - Employee Central Payroll: Availability of Partner Local Versions. EPI-USE has localized Peru, Vietnam, Denmark, Namibia, and Angola.

Our strategy is to deliver local versions we offered on-premise based upon customer and prospect demand so more to come for localizations. We also have a high interest from various partners to continue to localize more versions.

Identity Provisioning Service for User Creation

Based upon customer request to simplify user creation, we have added the ability to use the Identity Provisioning service (IPS) in SAP Cloud Identity Services to create, update, and delimit users in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll instead of using the User Creation Report. Enabling this option creates a single System of Record for a user across all SAP systems simplifying the user lifecycle process. This particular request came from an influence request Customer Community Idea 277147.

Identity Provisioning

 

Enabling Certificate Revocation

It is now possible to block compromised certificates by known Certificates Authorities (CA’s) during authentication, thanks to this certificate revocation feature. This improvement simplifies certificate management and helps keep your environment secure by preventing unauthorized access

SAP's payroll operations will enable the certificate revocation in the Employee Central Payroll systems. For more information about the migration dates for your relevant data centers, check the Knowledge Base Article 0003519603

 

New Data Center – China

As of October 1, 2024, SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll is live in Shanghai Data Center. With this, we further complete our SAP SuccessFactors portfolio in the Greater China region and will accelerate your transition to the cloud.
