What is LinkedIn Recruiter System Connect (RSC)?

LinkedIn RSC is a integration between LinkedIn Recruiter and SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting. It keeps key hiring data - Candidates, Applications, and Job Requisitions - in sync so recruiters don’t have to copy-paste or jump between tools. With RSC, recruiters can export a LinkedIn profile to SuccessFactors in a click, see LinkedIn profile inside SuccessFactors. This reduces manual work, keeps data consistent, speeds decisions, and boosts recruiter productivity.

Important notes before you enable LinkedIn RSC

  • When data is synced from SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting to LinkedIn, it is stored in LinkedIn-owned data centers in the United States and processed with security controls.
  • LinkedIn processes syncs from any SAP SuccessFactors environment as live updates. To avoid unintended changes, sync only from your Production environment. If you accidentally synced test data to LinkedIn’s live system, contact LinkedIn Support to request deletion of that test data.
  • The sync from SuccessFactors to LinkedIn includes Job Requisitions, Job Applications, and Candidates. The Historical Sync covers the last two years of data (counted from today). Ongoing changes are sent automatically via delta updates after that.
  • The customer are responsible for enabling and maintaining the integration and ensuring compliance with local privacy laws and policies (including DPCS and any regional requirements).

Step 1: Grant Permissions

  • MDF object permissions for LinkedInDeveloperApplication and LinkedInIntegrationConfiguration.
  • Admin permission: Manage LinkedIn Setup and Implementation.

Step 2: Set Up LinkedIn Integration and Select Contract

In Security Center, sign in with your LinkedIn account, then choose the correct contract for the tenant.

 

Step 3: Review Field Mapping and Start Sync

Open the LinkedIn Recruiter System Connect Sync Configuration tool. Click View Information button and read the instructions fully. Once you had read the instruction, kindly review/update the field mappings as required. When finalized, go to Data Sync & Monitoring tab and click Initiate Sync.

Points to note

  • General Settings: These cannot be changed after the first data sync starts.
  • Initiate Sync: Triggers a full historical sync (last two years). The can be used once every 24 hours; the button stays disabled until the window resets. This should only be used for full data syncs. Delta syncs run automatically every 30 minutes for new/updated records, so you don’t need full syncs for routine updates.
 

Data flow from LinkedIn to SAP SuccessFactors (One Click Export)

One-Click Export lets recruiters send a candidate from LinkedIn Recruiter directly to a job requisition in SAP SuccessFactors. This is the LinkedIn to SuccessFactors data sync. Candidates exported this way appear in the Applicant Workbench with Forwarded status.

 
 

Note - You can view the LinkedIn profile inside SuccessFactors only if the user has a valid LinkedIn Recruiter seat that has been synced (seat info refreshes every 24 hours). If the candidate has not accepted DPCS in SuccessFactors, the profile will not link.
