With a growing need to support a culture of lifelong learning in an ever-evolving work landscape, it becomes more important than ever to surface learning opportunities to your workforce that are tailored to your learners’ needs, role and aspirations. Learning and upskilling should be easily accessible, timely and contextual – anytime, anywhere, on any device. The new integrated learning experience, with the whole self model at its core and powered by talent intelligence hub and a strong AI/ML recommendations engine, will deliver an elevated learning experience to your organization. A key part of this, the new and re-architected learning home page became available in 2H 2023.

General

What is the integrated learning experience and what is the driver behind SAP SuccessFactors delivering this experience?

SAP SuccessFactors Learning is a key part of our broader Future Ready Workforce product strategy. The integrated learning experience for SAP SuccessFactors Learning is a cornerstone of that strategy, and includes a newly re-designed Learning home page, but goes way beyond just a new user interface.

Prioritized and organized to meet the learner’s individual needs, the intuitive design of the Learning home page provides learning options across the areas where users have to learn (in the context of safety and compliance), need to learn (to further excel in their roles, jobs and teams), and where they want to learn (based on their own interests, aspirations and motivations). This allows learners to accomplish learning not only towards organizational needs, but it also drives an intrinsic culture of learning by tapping into the learner’s aspirations, motivations, skill targets, and learning preferences, in addition to their role and previous experiences.

Under the hood, more enhanced cross-modular functions and features with AI-driven talent intelligence, growth portfolio and SAP SuccessFactors Opportunity Marketplace bring together the power of the SuccessFactors suite to support both a consistent user experience and a companywide integrated learning strategy for accelerated skill-building processes.

To learn more about the drivers behind this experience, please read this blog.

What will we see and when?

With the 2H 2023 release, customers have started seeing the integrated learning experience on the new learning home page – on web and mobile.

The initial version of the new experience was focused on engaging and motivating learners with prioritized content which makes it easy to complete their mandatory assignments on time, stay on top of their self-directed learning, and provide contextual recommendations to support their continuous upskilling.

LHP 2H 2023 overview.pngThe new 2H 2023 Learning Home Page

By prioritizing required assignments learners can get in and out of the system while completing their mandatory requirements faster than ever before. All required assignments and curricula can be found up front and center, with an easy indication of meeting compliance. Clicking on the compliance indicator for curricula will also take the user straight to the curricula overview, for a guided experience. In addition, learners are able to plan their learning activities with the convenience of blocking their calendars directly from the cards, to make time to learn.

Visualizing required assignments and curricula

Motivation comes in many forms – including interaction with peers and recommendations and suggestions from those close to you. By highlighting these suggestions in their own area, and treating the referred learning with the importance needed, users can quickly find and interact with items that mean more to them. This also supports building a habit-forming learning culture, where employees are encouraged to continuously learn and upskill.

Self-directed learning activities

Discovery is a key part of building curiosity.  We introduced a brand new search capability with smart recommendations and the ability to search based on specific skills and other attributes, which will be available to customers who opt in to using SuccessFactors’ Data Platform.

New Search experience (2H 2023)

Including AI recommendations right on the main page also allows learners to receive personalized recommendations based on both their own learning history, as well as recommendations based on their growth portfolio, role in the company, and job role. As with all machine learning algorithms, these recommendations will improve and become more and more valuable over time, with further usage and inputs. (Note: the AI recommendations are an opt-in feature, and available to customers based on a staggered rollout.)

Personalized learning recommendations

Skills and other attributes are embedded in the foundation of all the items showcased in this learning experience – details on courses and their tagged skills and attributes can now be seen in the course home pages.  We have also enhanced the item connector to better enable administrators to ensure their courses are tagged with searchable skills by supporting the ability to mass update items, thereby accelerating associating learning content with skills.

Is SAP SuccessFactors Learning building a Learning Experience Platform (LXP)?

No, the new integrated learning experience isn’t about delivering an LXP. It is building the bridge between the traditional learning management system (LMS) and user-centric features typically associated with LXPs for learner engagement.

By bringing LMS’ robust support for compliance and learning management together with a fully revamped experience centered around the learner’s needs, built on a strong foundation of personalized ML recommendations and intelligent suite data, we are establishing a new learning paradigm: reducing manual effort with programmatic learning and AI, supporting multi-modal learning leveraging the complete SuccessFactors suite and 3rd party applications, and enabling a culture of learning anytime, anywhere. LXPs continue to offer additional capabilities for learning specific use cases for companies requiring tailored custom experiences.

Technical questions

How easy is it to implement the new experience?
It comes out of the box! Provided your instance meets the technical prerequisites (see details below), your learners could automatically have access to this new experience in 2H 2023 when they navigate to their learning home page within SuccessFactors. The legacy experience is still available, if you want to keep it for a transition period, and users can flip back and forth using a simple toggle at the top, thus keeping access to the functionality they are familiar with, as needed. Administrators can determine whether the default page is the current experience or the new one to start with. Users can then chose their preference, which will be honored when they come back to Learning. Customers can also choose to use the new experience only.

Learners can start reaping the benefits of the new experience – with valuable new features such as the ability to quickly create calendar blocks to make time for learning, straight from  the home page, or the brand new learning bookmarks – while still keeping access to their existing views and tools as more features get added to the new experience over time.

Does the new experience work on a tablet or mobile browser?
Yes. The integrated learning experience is developed to be entirely mobile-web responsive, and functional experience updates are available on your SAP SuccessFactors mobile application. The user interface will adjust in the mobile browser you are using and operate within the screen’s available size. The native mobile applications continue to be updated with the new experience facets as well.

Can we customize the new experience?
We are optimizing the integrated learning experience to necessitate as little configuration as possible to simplify the task for learning admins. While we were working with our Design Advisors on customization capabilities, the initial release of the integrated learning experience was delivered fully out-of-the-box, with some features such as recommendations being opt-in, so that learners can start using it on Day 1. We added customization capabilities in 1h 2024 release (see details further below).

Prerequisites

How can we prepare?
To get the new integrated learning experience, you will want to ensure that your instance meets the following prerequisites:

  1. Adopt Course Home
  2. Have the tenant integration “sealed” (see documentation and blog on the Community) – we took care of it for many customers already in the last few months. To verify that your instance is ready, you can also check your sealing status directly from the Application Administration > Integrated Learning Settings page. Customers can now also self-initiate the sealing of their instance, as detailed in What's New Viewer: Platform Integration Request for Sealing by Administrator.
  3. Activate LMS-IAS integration (for Learning only users)

To further maximize the value of the integrated learning experience, we also recommend that you:

  1. Familiarize yourself with the Talent Intelligence Hub and enable your learners to access Growth Portfolio
  2. Evaluate if Opportunity Marketplace could be a valuable addition for your organization, to drive peer- and experiential learning and provide personalized recommendations across many development opportunities

Note: Course Home became available for users with an external shopping account type as of the 1H 2024 release.

We have prepared some new documentation to support our customers and their journey to using the new Integrated Learning Experience after the 2H 2023 release of General Availability, and updated it after 1H 2024 and 2H 2024 releases.  Please reference the two documents below:

Customer Transition Guide for Integrated Learning Experience
Conditions and Rules for Section Display and Supported Activities - Integrated Learning Experience

What do our learners need to know about the new experience?

The new experience improves the way learners will interact with learning, and many will find it very intuitive as the usage of interactive cards is similar to the latest SAP SuccessFactors home page.

There are however some significant differences in the new experience, compared to what learners may be used to:

    • The concept of “learning plan” has changed to better reflect the learner’s different motivations and urgency for completion. Previously assigned required training (assigned by others) will be separated from the self-directed learning, to give greater clarity on what workers have to learn vs what they want or need to learn for their own growth.
    • Learning content is organized in different sections and prioritized by due date. Secondary pages allow the learner to deep-dive into more details like learning assignments that are due far in the future.
    • There is a new ability for learners to block their calendars to make time for learning, straight from the home page.
    • Learners will have the ability to easily save learning content for later by using the “bookmark” feature for courses and other learning content, providing an easy way to manage their learning interests and retrieve it in one single page, separated from courses they are already engaged with or have been assigned to.
    • Recommendations will no longer disappear upon click, but only based on explicit user action – either bookmarking to keep the recommendation, or dismissing it as “not interested” – allowing learners to better manage the content they want to save and remove the content they are not interested in from view.
    • If learners are looking for a specific tile or content from the legacy view, the toggle at the top of the page will let them access the previous experience
    • Curricula compliance is shown clearly at the top of the required learning section with a status bubble, but no longer shows the number of curricula open versus completed.
    • Users no longer have to “assign to me” to add items to their learning plans. Instead, bookmarks allow for “save for later” type capability, and self-driven learning drives better learner behaviors.
    • Peer, manager and admin suggested content will show up in the “recommended for you” section

What’s next?

Roadmap for the integrated learning experience
The initial focus in the first release was on the learner experience, with a new streamlined user interface that focuses employee learning on what they have to, need to, and want to learn, powered by AI recommendations unique to each employee.

Since then, in 1H 2024, we already:

  • Enabled access to views and legacy pages directly from the new learning home page, including manager and instructor views, access to learning history, any existing custom pages and custom links... ** See the What's New Viewer
  • Added further capabilities in the "need to learn" area, including non-required assignments and administrator recommendations
  • Support branding and customization capabilities for the new experience with brand new configurable banners and custom cards
  • Further enhanced search capabilities
  • Extended the visual enhancements to the detail pages for learning history

For more details on the 1H 2024 roadmap and beyond, watch the replay of the latest customer session.

In 2H 2024, we:

  • Delivered a refreshed, visually consistent manager view
  • Supported delegation and approvals from the new learning home page
  • Supported the ability to browse the library based on categories
  • Offered more customization capabilities with new custom pages leveraging the latest banner and custom card features
  • Further enhanced admin capabilities for the integrated learning experience

How to adopt

Based on some of our customer feedback, we maintained the flexibility to opt out of the new experience entirely in 1H 2024, for those who may need more time to prepare for the change. We also heard from many other customers the need to be able to fully move to the Integrated Learning Experience quicker, so we added the configuration to hide the switch back to the legacy learning page with 1H 2024.

When will the integrated learning experience become universal?

Read below to understand the phased rollout and options:

2H 2024: The option to opt out of the new learning experience is no longer available. Customers can set the legacy experience as the default experience for learners, by setting the user toggle default to off, which means that learners start with the legacy experience but can choose to use the new experience by turning the toggle to on. Or customers can use the new experience as default using the admin setting, and let their users access the legacy home page via the toggle at the top of the page.

The new option to use exclusively the new experience (no user toggle on the home page) will of course stay available: Customers who want the new home page to be the ONLY experience, and don't want to offer the legacy experience as an option to learners, can choose to hide the user toggle entirely.

Customers who are already using the new experience will not see a change in 2H 2024.

Universal Push for Integrated Learning Experience in 2H 2025

Customers will have until 2H2025 to fully adopt the new experience, which will become universal as the only available experience in 2H2025 for all commercial customers on eligible tenants.

What does this mean?

The configuration options will stay the same as in 2H2024: admins can select to use the new experience only, or keep legacy and new experience side by side, with the user able to switch between the two experiences.

Any change to the experience is at the discretion of customer administrators: SAP will not change the setting with 1H2025 release. This will give customers more flexibility with the timing of when to push the changes to their users.

The plan is for the new learning home page to become the only experience for our Learning Platform in 2H2025. That means that the legacy version of the Learning home page is planned to be deprecated and all learners will only see the new experience.

Note: Validated Learning customers will be on a separate timeline aligned with their 2026 upgrade release.

Near Real Time Updates to Library Access for Enhanced Search
Changes made to library access are now reflected in near real time in the enhanced search results.

Previously, when an administrator assigned or removed learner access to a library in Manage User Learning >Assignment Profiles > Libraries, the changes took up to 72 hours to be reflected in preview environments and up to 8 hours to be reflected in production environments.

Now, these changes are reflected in the enhanced search results within 30 minutes.  This change improves the learning experience by ensuring learners have timely access to the most current libraries available to them. We're continuing to work on improvements so changes to learning activities can be reflected in near real time in the enhanced search results.

Configuration Requirements
This improvement is automatically available when enhanced search is enabled. No additional configuration is required.

Note: In order to allow time for testing, this enhancement will have a staggered release to Preview and Production. For more details, please refer to Knowledge Base Article (https://me.sap.com/notes/3560061).

For more insights on what’s coming for Learning, please make sure to follow the updates on the Customer Community as we will be publishing more information soon and stay tuned for upcoming webinar announcements! We want to hear from you too: leave us your questions and feedback in the comments section below.

@Heidilee Thank you, I have raised a ticket (#834111/2024)  and referenced yours. We have tried using the SAP default images as well and get the same result. Hopefully they can address it soon.

One update I would like to see is that the required and important learning cards match the invest in myself section cards. They should all look the same. Why would I want to do my required learning if they are smaller and uglier than my invest in myself learning, which looks fantastic with pictures, etc.?  Please make them all the same size so this is more attractive to the learners.

Hi,

Can you please let me know if option to opt out is still happening in 2H 2024? We are finding a lot of limitations in the new Learning Experience. I'm sure other companies are observing this.

My understanding is that the toggle (turn on/off New Learning Experience) cannot be removed when the option to opt out if removed. If we are giving users the option to see the new learning experience, we might as well implement however there are still issues/limitations that needs to be resolved.

The ILX limitations are here -  https://userapps.support.sap.com/sap/support/knowledge/en/3389475

Some of the issues are in Influence Idea -  https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/idea/316225

thanks

Jenn

Hi Jenn,

with 2H 2024 release customers whose instances are eligible for the new experience will see it automatically and the admins can decide whether it is behind the user user switch or the default experience. You can also remove the user switch and have only the new experience by choosing the option "hidden" (this is available since 1h 2024 release).

With regards to limitations, please note that several are planned to be addressed with the 2h 2024 release, as per our roadmap (see blog above for some details) .

Hope this clarifies,

Hi  @AmelieFidric

We are eligible customer for ILX.  In 2H 2024, we want to keep using the legacy user experience and NOT display the switch.  Is that possible?

Thanks.

Hi Jenn,

No, you cannot opt out from the new experience in 2H 2024 anymore. You can stay on the legacy experience and display the switch, or move to the new experience (and remove the switch if you choose).

Hello,

on the previous home page there was the possibility to configure the dropdown list of the sort order in the search result of the legacy search.

see entry in system configuration/library:
# This configuration is used to change the order of sort options on the catalogue search screen.
# By Default it will be Relevance, Price, Tier, Rating, Title. First option on the list will be default sorting order on the catalog search screen. You can remove any sorting option if you do not want to support.
catalogSearchSortByOptionsOrder=e.g. Relevance, Title, Rating

The configuration does not affect the enhanced search of the ILX.

Is this an error so that a ticket should be created, or is this an intended behaviour?

Thanks for your feedback

Hi @CMezger this is the intended behavior. The configurations used for the legacy search like sort do not apply to the enhanced search. It is not possible to change the sort order.

Hi @AmelieFidric@GabbyZilkha

I attended the session on ILX Success: Rollout Strategies  last week. I asked about the UI for External Instructors.

Currently in our Legacy learning experience, our External Instructors has access to My Classes only (no landing page). They do not have access to any catalogue.

In the new learning experience, External Instructors can also see Required Learning, Important Learning, Invest in Myself, etc. which are not relevant to them and they have no permission to. The sections are there but with message "Looks like the data isn't loading. Some content didn't load. Please try again later."

SAP Incident was already raised. Reply - Product Management is confirming the current behavior as designed.

If we cant hide the sections for external instructors, can we at least get rid of the message?

thanks.

1. In 2H2024 will it still be possible to have only legacy view without toggle, and make the move only in 2H2025?

2. When will the new experience become available for external shopping account?

Thanks,

I have a question regarding the enhanced search functionality, especially when it comes to multiple languages.

For example, if I search for "management," will the search results display all relevant courses, regardless of the language they are in? Specifically, if a course is only available in French, will the search display the French version, or is there a filter for language-specific results?

fabian__0-1727684735226.png

Additionally, if the course is available in multiple languages, will the system prioritize displaying the course in the language I have set as my default?

Looking forward to your insights on how this works across multilingual environments!

Hi @ranshapira

For your first question, not possible according to SAP. We are also wanting to delay the deployment of the new learning experience ui but not possible. The toggle will be there.

Hi @fabian_ ,

Great questions! Let me try to share some more information about how this works.

For example, if I search for "management," will the search results display all relevant courses, regardless of the language they are in? Specifically, if a course is only available in French, will the search display the French version, or is there a filter for language-specific results?

The new search will look for matches across all languages and will provide a boost for the users language. Results will show based on the relevance of the keyword entered by the user compared to learning activities in their library. If "management" is the keyword entered by the user and there is a French learning titled "management" they can find it.

Additionally, if the course is available in multiple languages, will the system prioritize displaying the course in the language I have set as my default?

If the title has been defined in multiple languages then,

  • The results will show the title of the learning activity that has the best match.
  • In case there is no best match, the system will show the title in the users locale.
  • In case the users locale is not available for the learning, the entity ID will be displayed instead of a title.

If the title has been defined in only one language then,

  • The title will show in that language as it is the only one available.

Hi,

I have a couple of questions:

1. Thumbnails images are only showing in the Invest in Myself section on the new home page. In the other sections the cards are just text. Is this configurable to either turn thumbnails on or off for different sections?

2. What is the difference between the new Learning Reminder email and the existing Learning Expiration email, both of which are linked to an automatic process - should both processes be running or just one?

3. Is it possible to change the order of the sections on the new home page?

Thanks,

Julia

Hello!

We have a question, regarding the new learning experience - defaulting the legacy home page in the H2 2024 release.

Can you please confirm the correct approach, to make sure that when the production release takes place - we will still see the legacy home page as the default one?

Thank you in advance!

Kind regards,

The following will not be present in the new ILX from 2H 2024 and will be reinstated 1H 2025:

  • Optional Surveys (Surveys which are required for item completion will show on the new home page. Only Course Feedback surveys impact item completion.)
  • Follow-Up Surveys

Please advise the following:
1. Between 2H 2024 & 1H 2025 - where will users see Optional Surveys and Follow up Surveys for courses that already have these enabled?
2. Between 2H 2024 & 1H 2025 - when a user clicks on a Survey Direct Link in a Optional Survey or Follow up Survey notification, where will the user be directed to?

I advise the following article is updated with the expected behavior and the best solution is investigated by SAP, so the user Survey experience is not impacted due to new ILX.

@GabbyZilkha

Hi,

thank you for your insights. Can I elaborate on the rules of displaying entity titles:

"If the title has been defined in multiple languages then,

  • The results will show the title of the learning activity that has the best match.
  • In case there is no best match, the system will show the title in the users locale.
  • In case the users locale is not available for the learning, the entity ID will be displayed instead of a title. "

Could the third bullet may be changed according to this influence request, as this rule produces some weird results - for example correctly displays "product" in non-englisch languages, when searching for "product", but "products" won't be displayed but the entity ID instead. We would greatly appreciate that the influence request for a fallback language will be implemented. https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/idea/330419

We have observed that in the legacy learning home page the newly created items are visible immediately. Where as in the new learning home page we created an item and it is still not visible even after a week of it's creation. This is a very big drawback and is one of the reasons why users are very hesitant to move to the new learning home page.

Why is there a delay could somebody explain?

Hi @GabbyZilkha

My query re: External Instructor's homepage. So here I go again...

We are not sure what to expect for External Instructors (no user account in Platform, logs in using Native Login via IAS). Currently (legacy ui) they can only see My Classes. They dont have My Learning Plan, no access to library, no access to course overview, etc.

When New Learning experience is switched on, they can see sections that are not relevant to them - Required Learning, Important Learning, Invest in Myself, etc. How can we remove these sections that are not relevant to them?

Also, we dont know what 'experience' to expect for External Instructors. There has been no video/demo that includes these types of users. Are you able to provide one?

thanks

@RH1 - sorry for the delay, I have been away. Unfortunately SAP's response was that this was expected behaviour at the moment. They didn't share any details on when this would be updated. For now we reverted all our images back to 1:1 as we are still defaulting the legacy experience. In H1 2025 we will update them again.

Hi,

There are a lot of limitations that we have observed while testing in our development enviourmnet, while some of them will be resolved in the coming update of 1H 2025 for the other limitations there is no update on when they will have a similar feature in the New Learning Homepage. The following are the limitations we found that should have something similar in New learning Homepage :

  • The "Launch Proxy" action (Learning Administration > People > Users > Actions) will display the legacy Learning home page, even with the "New Learning Experience" toggle on for the user being proxied.
  • Blank searching or browsing in Enhanced Search is not available. Minimum 2 characters are needed for a search.
  • New Items, curricula and programs and changes to existing items, curricula and programs will take up to 24 hours to be available in the production system and in the stage environments, items added to a library may take up to a week to be visible to users.
  • Calendar View is not available in the Find Learning page.
  • All sections such as Required Learning, Important Learning, etc. will only show up to 8 cards. The View All option must be used to see more.
  • Optional Surveys and Follow-Up surveys won’t be available. (Surveys which are required for item completion will show on the new home page. Only Course Feedback surveys impact item completion.)
  • The item relaunch warning that appears when the item was completed in the past is currently not supported.
  • In the bookmarks, sections will reappear even after dismissed when the page is refreshed/ users navigate away and back to homepage/ New Learning Experience toggle is turned off and on again.
  • Optional items that are part of curriculum won't be displayed on the new learning page.
  • Highlight as "Featured", "New" and "Revised" items won’t be displayed in the items as there's a flag filter in Enhanced Search page to filter by the same.
  • Setting Priority is not supported.
  • When email notifications are disabled and the "Send Reminder" button available in the Team View area is clicked, emails are generated and queued. If the queued emails aren't purged and the emails are enabled, they're sent.
  • Thumbnail images not appearing for Required Learning and Important Learning section

Could anybody let me know if there is any timeline for migrating these features from Legacy to NLH?

Why is SAP not communicating with its customers early around what we can expect in 1h for ILX?

Not knowing how all our learning homepages are going to work in a few months is very concerning. I am still not over SAP calling this new search "Enhanced" and then the legacy search works 100x better. We are having lots of problems with items taking multiple days or not appearing at all in the new search. We even had our entire ILX search filters change to SPANISH the other day and we only use UK and US english locales. And of course the ticket just went nowhere.

How can SAP leave all their customers with all these unanswered questions and all these problems that we will likely become the norm for us when they take legacy away in 1h???

Agree with Heidi, we need to understand what limitations will be solved so we can work on mitigating product defects/downgrades SAP is not planning to fix when legacy is removed.

Next to that could the deprecation timelines be clarified? We were operating under the understanding that H1 2025 would be final deprecation of the legacy homepage. However above blog now says it will be H2 2025. Will we be able to continue on the legacy version until H2 2025?

Thanks.

@Kayleigh I hadn't realised the blog post had changed. Big changes to key dates from SAP should probably be in a comment/email to customers so we all get notified.  I usually check the deprecation page to see if SAP have changed their mind which I did before i commented today, but as of right now it still say May 2025!

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to quickly share more info regarding the list of elements thats circulated several times throughout the comments in this blog. First, as communicated in the posts above and to the general learning community, we have extended the ability for customers to still run the legacy homepage until 2H2025 release. We are still planning to deliver optional surveys, optional curricula assignments, and admins seeing the new ILX in proxy mode in 1H2025 release. In addition, the library search content update timeframes will be dramatically reduced. The assignment of new access or access removal to libraries happening in near-real time is already starting to roll out to your production environments this week, while updates to content also happening in near-real-time is planned with the 1H2505 release.  We are also working on a Browse All (blank search) feature, while Class search capabilities are planned for 2H2025.

With regards to the design elements of the number of cards or thumbnails on required learning, these designs were carefully vetted based on user research and our design principles of clarity, efficiency, and consistency. 8 cards in a particular category is meant to give the user quick access to their top priority options in that category without overwhelming the user with an endless scroll. Once a user needs to find something beyond the top 8, they go into a focused screen within that category with much more options to discover what they are specifically looking for (without the extra distraction of other components of the page).  Users also confirmed that when they are reviewing assigned learning, the assignment information, time investment, and actions to get started such as pre-requisite or approval indicators were the most important job to be done in that moment. The thumbnail in those scenarios are not relevant to their urgency to take the required actions to complete the relevant training. If they wanted to explore more about the course, those additional elements become more visible in the course, program or requirement pool details pages.

Marking items as featured now drives greater behavior throughout the suite, including prioritizing order of display in many scenarios. Although the marker isn't directly displayed on the search result card, the users can filter on these elements, and we are looking into more meaningful ways of indicating this rather than just a label marker in the future.

Hope this helps bring clarity to the items being mentioned in regards to the new Integrated Learning Experience. We continuously strive to bring you the best tools to effectively run your business, while giving your end-users a wonderful experience. Thank you for your engagement in this community.

We have observed that users on global assignments (HOST) are able to view the learning content from the New Learning Home page. However, this option is not available on the Legacy Home page." if they need to launch the content they have to switch the HOME record from the new learning homepage

@Sany-Said Thank you for the clear update.

What about vSaaS customers? What is the timeline for them for the no opt out (2H2024) and the universal push (2H2025)?

Hi @ranshapira - VSaaS customers will receive the no opt out with the 2025 upgrade, and the universal ILX only experience with the 2026 upgrade.

Hi All,

We are facing access issues with the enhanced search in our lower enviourmnet after the 1H 2025 release. Is anybody else also facing the same issue?

@Srijan yep!! We are experiencing an issue where no items we have added during testing the preview are showing in the ILX enhanced search and it's been 2 weeks now. I raised a ticket and SAP said due to us having a recent refresh of the preview system they need to run a provisioning job to fix it. If this sounds like the issue you're having - here's my ticket number if you want to ref it 458044/2025

@Srijanas Heidi mentioned if there is a data refresh there is a known issue to search. If this also applies to you please open a ticket so we can look into it for your specific instance.

@heidirobinson thank you for sharing your ticket information! We hope to be able to give you a resolution soon.

Also just a general note, we are doing a staggered rollout for the near real time search (search will now see updates in up to 30 minutes instead of the up to 8 hours in production and up to 72 hours in preview). This data change will resolve the issue we previously had about instance refreshes so moving forward instance refreshes should not impact search. You can favorite this KBA to see when it will get rolled out to your Data Center https://me.sap.com/notes/3582342

I don't think it is a data refresh issue because we are not able to search for anything. The search either comes blank or it says not able to load data.
