Hello Community,
I'm working as a Product Manager for
Employee Central Payroll. In my previous
blog I described the Payroll End-to-End Hire
Functionality, which is now even
available for two more task types like Address-Change and Termination.
To give the flexibility to you to use this
functionality you'll need a way to configure it according to your needs. And in this context we found a new way to do
all the Payroll relevant configuration at one place! In this blog I'll describe a new way how you can configure your Payroll, hopefully more easily than before. For sure, you can still do it with the MDF Objects, if you prefer.
How to get to the Configuration UI?
In the Admin Center under Payroll there is a new link called "Payroll Unified Configuration". Use this for the new UI.
What you can do in the new UI?
On the left side you will see the list of countries that you have
configured so far. For sure you can add a new Payroll country if needed and you can sort by countries.
On the right side of the UI, you see three different tabs:
System Configuration
Here would specify the Payroll system URL, like you did in the MDF Object "Payroll System Configuration"
Portlets
In this tab you can specify how the Payroll Information page shall look like for the Payroll Administrators and Employees. Which means behind each link you can maintain if it's a Infotype, Service or URL like you did in the MDF Object "Payroll System Configuration", but now you can do it in user-friendly UI.
Payroll Tasks
This is mainly the new part, in which was not possible so and here you would configure now the tasks (Hire, Address Change,
Termination) which you want to use.
Some small hints:
- You can only 'Add Infotypes' that you have configured under the Portlet section.
- If you do not enter here at least one infotype for one task, the task will not come up in the Tile 'Complete Payroll Tasks'
Hope you will like the New UI.
