Dear all,
Hope you are doing fine.
We are excited to share news about the Best Practices package for Recruiting Management 2H 2025 via the upgrade center. We have some new features that help you adopt the latest product enhancements quickly, improve user experience, and make it easy for you to adjust, test, and demo.
Disclaimer: Please note these features are currently available only on preview. The final version will be updated on RTC or production date for 2H 2025.
But before starting, let us share how you can find our Best Practices packages. In the Upgrade Center, filter for SAP Best Practices, and observe that the packages are listed under Recommended Upgrades:
To align with SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting product strategy, Best Practices Recruiting packages now adopt the Unified Data Model (UDM) as of release 2511. The UDM standardizes how job data is defined, exposed, and consumed across Recruiting Management and Career Site Builder (CSB), reducing configuration overhead and paving the way for faster innovation.
In Best Practices Recruiting packages, we provide a range of pre-configurations and sample files for you to utilize the Unified Data Model more quickly and easily. The Following are detailed introductions to each configuration point:
We deliver two sample Job Location Long Formats for US and UK in the Best Practices Recruiting package, you can add more Job Location Long Formats for other countries based on these examples.
We deliver two sample Job Location Short Formats in the Best Practices Recruiting package, one for the US and one for all other countries.
Additionally, we deliver a business rule to define the condition for triggering the Job Location Short Formats based on the Country selection in the Job Requisition. This rule is assigned to the job requisition template as an Initialize Rule.
We add Job Location-related fields and corresponding permissions in the Best Practices pre-delivered Job Requisition Templates: Pipeline Job Requisition, Standard Job Requisition (Integrated with Position Management) (For EC and Onboarding integration), and Standard Job Requisition (for Recruiting standalone). The recruiter can select Job Location when working on a Job Requisition, and the selected Job Location data will be shown in Career Site Builder with the rule-triggered Short Format and country-specific Long Format.
This update is only relevant to the Recruiting Integrated with Position Management scope. In Best Practices Recruiting package, we pre-deliver a busines rule, SFCC_MapReqFields, to automatically retrieve position field values for the job requisition when creating a job requisition from the Position Org Chart. In case the Unified Data Model enabled, we add a field mapping to get Location data from the Position into the Job Location field in the job requisition.
To support an out-of-the-box process, we deliver sample Job Location data for the US and UK, as well as sample State/Province data. You can use them to run processes directly for your demo or testing. You can also migrate your own location data to the Job Location and State/Province objects.
To support the Unified Data Model, we provide a Unified Data Model-enabled sample Career Site Builder XML for you to import. For customers who cannot enable the Unified Data Model due to Career Site Builder server location limitations, you can still use the non-Unified Data Model sample Career Site Builder XML that we provide.
You can get these example XML files from the Configuration File Link on the SAP Best Practices for SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting page in the SAP Help Portal.
The Best Practices enable Reimaged Candidate Experience feature, allowing you to adopt a seamless, efficient, and user-friendly application process designed to enhance engagement for both internal and external candidates. All of the Best Practices Recruiting Package Test Scripts have been updated accordingly to reflect the UI changes in the Guided Application Experience, My Applications, and My Profile, each offering Reimaged Candidate Experience features that work together to optimize the candidate journey.
To summarize, these best practices add a lot of value in terms of accelerating your implementations, and we hope to see more adoption from you (partners) in the coming days. In case you have feedback, please do leave a comment below.
Thank you for your attention.
Best Regards, Tracy
