Following the successful launch of SAP SuccessFactors Career and Talent Development in late 2024, we are excited to unveil new innovations and enhancements designed to benefit both managers and employees.
With AI-assisted successor insights, managers can now evaluate and compare named successors for a position more easily. Leveraging generative AI capabilities, succession planners can gain insights into the successors that are nominated for a position. In the succession org chart or the position tile view, users can leverage this new feature by selecting the generate insights button in the header of a position card. The insights provide a comprehensive overall summary section which offers a high-level overview of the job role requirements and all nominated successors. It is divided into two main parts, the role overview and successors analysis. A detailed summary is provided for each successor, encompassing three key aspects including experience and progression, performance and key achievements, and strengths and potential areas for growth.

Managers can also now track their team's career development in a summary view, including career aspirations and skill growth in the latest version of career worksheet. Managers can access the summary view via the growth portfolio team view, where they find a comprehensive overview of their team's roles, aspirations, and skills. The 'Roles and Aspirations' section displays current job roles and the top three most popular target roles, including team readiness and employee details. In the 'Identify Skill Strengths' section, managers can see the top five skills and attributes where employees excel, track skill development over time, and filter by roles or critical skills. Similarly, the 'Recognize Skills to Improve' section highlights the top five skills and attributes where employees have gaps, offering the same tracking and filtering functionalities to support targeted skill development. These insights make it easier to monitor and guide team development and identify priorities for growth at the team level.

Additionally, we introduced new enhancements to the opportunity marketplace feature. The vetting process has been improved for assignment owners and co-owners when reviewing applicants with the ability to pause an assignment posting. This gives them greater flexibility in managing existing applications. Also, employees can now identify and apply for assignments across multiple locations, while HR personnel and managers can view opportunity marketplace assignments within the latest people profile, ensuring greater visibility into assignment status.
