In the 1H 2025 release, we have introduced new capabilities to assist organizations with key onboarding and offboarding use cases, including a new alumni experience, AI-assisted offboarding, and mass initiation of onboarding.

Alumni Experience

With this release we are thrilled to launch the alumni experience in SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding. The alumni experience gives former employees access to the system after their employment ends, giving them the ability to view and download relevant documents, update personal information, and receive emails post-termination. The alumni experience offers former employees seamless support and mirrors the ease of access they had as an employee.

The alumni experience helps departed employees manage personal information and gives them access to support, documents, and resources. The alumni experience begins when the former employee receives an email with a link to activate their Alumni Access account. From the home page, alumni can view and edit their personal information, biographical information, addresses, contact information, emergency contacts, dependents, and payment information. Alumni also have access to payroll information, including pay statements, payroll and tax-related documents, and tax and compliance-related information such as the W-2 form or the Superannuation form. AI-Assisted Offboarding

 

With this release, AI-assisted offboarding through Joule, SAP’s AI Copilot, helps enable task completion and provides departing employees with a well-structured offboarding experience.

Joule helps improve the offboarding experience for managers, HR teams, and departing employees with support for common offboarding tasks, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and increasing efficiency in the offboarding process.   

Mass Initiation for Onboarding

HR teams and administrators can now leverage mass initiation during the onboarding process with a mass import capabilities, reducing time to hire while improving efficiency and data collection. This update helps facilitate organizational transitions, such as mergers, rehires, acquisitions, restructures and large organizational changes, with ease.
