Tax and Compliance: Basics of Dayforce Tax Integration with SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll

The Ceridian Dayforce to Employee Central Payroll integration is live for all SAP SuccessFactors customers using Employee Central Payroll. This brief article explains the key items a customer and their technical resources should know when activating this pre-packaged integration.

1. Tools Included - As a pre-packaged integration within the BTP Integration Suite, customers can access the following resources and artifacts:

  • ABAP Extractor Code Files
  • Tax Wage Mapping Tables
  • Artifact Deployment Guide
  • Configuration Implementation Guide
  • Architecture Diagrams

Whether using in-house resources or an external SI to configure this integration, these resources will be made available for use at no charge.

2. The Integration Process (i-Flow) is Already Set Up

The overall pre-built process customers will see is: Define Configuration Variables > Standardize the Input > Convert JSON Input to XML > Apply Formatting >  Value Validation: Map SAP Data to Ceridian Dayforce >  Validate Against Ceridian Dayforce XSD > Beautify XML > Log Payload > Send SFPT File to Ceridian OR Log Output.

Error Handling Process: Two Methods

  1. Email Error Handler - generates email to a person or an address.
  2. External Error Handler - custom error handler called by a direct process (separate i-Flow).

3. Integration Can Be Customized (if needed, not required)

  • The integration allows a customer to develop a custom ABAP program to extract payroll data from the customer's payroll instance and apply that data to a data model that is known to that customer's instance. It also allows that data to posted to the pre-determined integration endpoint.
  • Customers can configure - if needed - receivers and addresses to call for custom extensions, how to handle the XML file and whether to log the data.
