For reflecting onboarding documents in new hire employee profile after job start date, on the first step you must configure standard creating custom data collection object procedure as defined in SAP Help Portal. You can see steps below link.

Note: Please do not forget association between custom onboarding document collection and Onboarding data collection user configuration as you know userConfig and cust_subjectUser configuration. It ensures the relations among uploaded documents and new hire profile. Otherwise this configuration does not work in your system.
After standard onboarding data collection configuration, you can start to create a custom MDF for EC profile.
• Set externalCode as User. In detail, visibility must be editable.
• MDF API visibility must be editable.
• Add association under of new object. Choose onbaording data collection MDF and set Type Valid When.
• Set visibility Editable.
• Write cust_subjectUser to Destination Object Column
• Write externalCode to Source Object Column
After this process, you can configure an UI in Manage Configuration UI page.
After UI configuration, you must create a new portlet in Configure People Profile and add new custom MDF object in this section.
• Go to Integration Centre page and create a new integration as below.
• Chose option as below.
• Choose custom onboarding document collection object as source.
• In Configuration Fields page, switch field mapping view at the right corner.
• Add custom EC profile object as destination object.
• Drag and drop subjectUser of source entity to externalCode of destination entity.
• Drag and drop externalCode of source entity to externalCode inside of association of destination entity association.
• Add modify since filter and set last run time in Filter and Sort page.
Schedule and Save your new integration.
Now you can see onboarding documents in new employees profile after they started to work. According to permissions, employees can access this portlet and download onboarding documents.
Click documents icon and see onboarding documents.
If you see more details in documents sheet, you can restrict to access about custom onboarding object in permission role as below.
Or you can change labels of your custom onboarding document object, such as cust_subjectUser field label can be User.
