Job Relationship Portlet and Syn with Position Matrix Relationship

Hello Everyone,

In this blog post, I am going to explain how to enable Matrix relationship and Sync to Job relationship portlet.

An employee's Job Relationships can be inherited from a Position when the Position is assigned to the employee. On the Position these are called Matrix Relationships. The holder of each Position defined under the Matrix Relationships section of a Position will be synchronized to an employee's Job Relationships.

Step1 -Manage Business Configuration for Enable Job Relationship Portlet.

Step 2-Picklist Value as JobReltype

Step 3-Picklist Center for Creating Picklists and Values

Step 4-Configure Object definition to Create fields on Business Unit

Step 5-Manage Configuration UI for Creating Matrix Relationship on Position

 

Step 6-Configure Business Rule to Create a Business Unit change Rule

 

Step 7-Configure Object definition for Enable Matrix assign Business Rule on position Object

Testing

a)Final Layout on Job Information

b)Final Layout on Position

Conclusion:

New Portlet Job Relationship Enabled and Configure to sync between Job and Position for Custom Manager,Hr manager and Additional manager.Rule attached for changing matrix relationship on position ,automatically Job relationship matrix gets changed on hiring or change of Job information from take action.

Is there way to do it vice versa, like we update job relationship and matrix relationship in position gets updated, like we have in job info position reclassification, my understanding says its not possible, as event reason is important to do position reclassification, but need your thoughts also?
