BUSINESS REQUIREMENT: 

Update the mandatory increase requirements in SAP SuccessFactors Compensation after launching the worksheets, without needing to delete and recreate them.

CUSTOM SOLUTION:

In order to update the mandatory increase requirements in SAP SuccessFactors Compensation without deleting and recreating the worksheets, a custom solution can be implemented. This custom approach allows for adjustments to be made directly within the system, ensuring that changes are applied efficiently without any disruptions or data loss. By leveraging this tailored solution, organizations can maintain compliance with new requirements while avoiding the time-consuming process of recreating compensation worksheets.

Step 1- Add a lookup Table:

To modify the default guideline for the Belgium population, set up a lookup table with the input as the country and an initial output value (n). This value can be updated later to enforce the default value.

Step 2- Add a new custom field and update the formula:

Create a new custom field and update the formula accordingly.

Step 3- Guideline Settings:

  • Navigate to the guideline you wish to set a default value for.
  • Select "Change Rule Settings."
  • Add the custom field (Mandatory Increase Custom Default) as one of the formula criteria.
  • Set "Force Default on Custom Field Change" to "Yes."
  • Save the changes.

Loading the Guideline Formulae as per the requirement:

For the guideline criteria specifying the country "BEL" and a mandatory increase of "n," the default value will be set to 8, as illustrated in the next screenshot.

When the customer needs to change the default value of a guideline for the live forms, update the lookup table and the default guideline as shown. Ensure all worksheets are updated to reflect this change.
