Introduction:
This Blog is about highlighting an issue I recently came across when trying out the New DocuSign Feature that was introduced as a part of 1H 2025(Docusign Digital Signature Placeholders).Docusign Digital Signature Placeholders are basically tokens that you can place on the Document Generation Template and the Digital Signatures will replace the Tokens and Signatures appear in the Document. The Tokens are [[R_Signature1]] and [[R_SignatureDate1]] and so on.
Explanation of the Issue :
As a Part of 1H2025 Release, Digital Signature Place Holders were Introduced where Digital signature placeholders can be placed in the Document. But surprisingly , Digital Signatures and Place Holders (Tokens) both appear in the document causing overlapping and makes the document unclear.
From the Document , it is clear that the Signature and its corresponding Placeholder R_Signature1 and the same for Date both appear overlapping each other.
Conclusion :
From our testing, it's clear that this overlap impacts the readability and professionalism of the signed document. If you're also using this new feature and have experienced similar behavior, we'd love to hear from you. Feel free to share your observations or workarounds.
Let’s hope a fix is on the horizon in an upcoming patch or hotfix release.
