If you're working with agencies in SAP SuccessFactors, understanding how candidate ownership works is essential. Let's break it down:
1. Candidate Ownership Duration
This setting defines how long an agency can claim ownership of a candidate. For example, if you set the duration to 90 days, the agency has rights to the candidate for that period. If the candidate is hired within those 90 days, the agency is entitled to a fee. However, if the candidate is hired after the 90-day period, the agency no longer has any claim, and no payment is due.
2. Reset Ownership Clock with Newest Submission
By enabling the "Reset Ownership Clock with New Submission" option, the 90-day period starts over with each new job submission. This gives the agency a fresh ownership period from the latest submission date.
3. Candidate Self Ownership
Sometimes, candidates own their profiles for a certain time, meaning agencies can't submit them during this period. Once the self-ownership period ends, agencies can start submitting those candidates again.
