Dear viewers,
You have found a blog with a real time scenario achieved in the SF EC. It is configured in the sales demo SF system.
Aim : To allow employee to take grandparent leave based on eligibility.
Conditions:
1.Employee should enter grandchild date of birth while applying the leave, he can avail this leave within 30 days from the date of the grandchild born.
In a single request, he can avail 3 days, not more than 3 days allowed to apply. And in his employment period he can avail only 3 times.
Configuration steps in the below.
You can maintain grandchild record either in the dependents portlet and can be achieved using different rule. But in this case, I have configured to maintain grandchild data while applying for the leave and followed by workflow approval with the attachment proof.
1. In employee time object, I have added two fields to enter relationship and date of birth.
2. Since this field has to be visible only while selecting the grand parent leave, I have given field criteria for this time type alone. Below screenshot is for your reference. You can see this section in bottom of the field details.
Configure the rule in the time type take rules to validate.
Below is the output tested cases.
This output shows attachment mandatory. You can define in the take rules.
Scenario 3: Employee when try to apply 3 days, within 30 days from the grand child born date, system allowed. The below screenshot is for your reference.
Scenario 4: If employee try to apply before the grandchild born date. System will throw error.
Scenario 5 : If employee try to apply after 30 from the grand child born date. System will throw error.
When applying for the fourth time, system throws a error.
Thanks for referring to my blog. Will reach you in next blog with a more interesting scenario.
