YTD totals not showing up

Hi experts,

I am trying to create a report that shows the YTD totals but those values are not showing up.

What I am seeing is the same for all measures dimension members.

Ex:-

Account Time          Periodic     YTD

Margin Jan 2015      100               100

           Feb 2015     200               200    

           Mar 2015     300               300    

           Q1               600               600

How can I derive a report that shows

Account Time          Periodic     YTD

Margin Jan 2015      100               100

           Feb 2015     200               300    

           Mar 2015     300               600    

           Q1               600               600

You can create a report which can show you the YTD Values also.

which version are you using? can you please share the time dim? which type have you choosed in your application/model YTD or periodic.

We are on 10.0. SP 8 Patch 1

I have not created the model, so I don't know whether the model is periodic or YTD. Can we change it now to YTD if it is periodic? I don't know where the YTD settings are for a model. Can you please let me know.

Hi David,

you should find it in model parameter, it's called YTDINPUT and you have to set it to Y or N (for periodic)

Yeah it is set to N.

So would it affect the system if I change it to Y for the already existing model?

Can I create reports with YTD totals showing up? Or is it that the YTD totals have to be specifically recorded in order for us to display it in a report?

Hi David,

never tried but I think it's possible to change this application parameter with existing data.

Try first on dev environment and remember to do a modify model enabling process model and see if ok.

Remember also to do a snapshot or full backup before to do it.

As Rohit wrote it's also possible to change the measure in the report to see data in different measure, remember that balance sheet accounts works always as YTD.
