Hi Folks,

Currently I am working on as BPC 10,1 Classic version below are the details of system.

I have sap all access. even i am owner and manager of the parent member.

Below are the WS setting. for testing purpose i have given access to both.

I am facing problem in Work status. I am not able to change work status of parent member. when i use "include descendant" work status  get changed for base member but not for the time's parent member.I checked backed end tables,WS status getting changed for parent member of owner dimension but not time dimension.

system shows current status of member is none. Whenever i change the WS status every time system show that "The Work Status  was changed to none".

I have checked back end table. look of for me.

Thanks.

Sushant.

Hi Sushant,

This is not a problem - this is by design.

Using a Node in a non-driving Dimension is just a shortcut for changing WS on all base members underneath. This is main difference between driving and non-driving Dimensions: you can lock a Node on driving dimension, but you can lock only base members on non-driving.

In either case in NW version only base members will be written to the lock table.

Hi Gersh,

Thanks for your reply. ok its by design, but whenever i change the work status on top node system is displaying that "The Work Status  was changed to none" in any state whether i am changing WS from unlock to submit or submit to approve.

Can  you explain me why every time system is showing same Message? "The Work Status  was changed to none". When I change WS from excel front end it is showing changed to submitted or approved like that but same message i am not getting in BPF.Why is it so?

one more question when i configure WS first time is there any entry should i expect in back end table?like for all member 0 status that is unlock status?

Thanks,

Sushant.
