Work status in BPC 10.1

Dear Experts.

Small query on work status for node driver dimension.

Query: Regarding BPC activity work status, for hierarchy node driver dimension Current status is not updated when we change New status to any status (like... save, submit and approve)

Is it a standard behavior of SAP??? or is there any way to enable this settings???

Appreciate your valuable inputs/comments.

Hi Balakrishna,

As per my experience, you have to tick "include all descendents" below CC_DUMMY2 member in your COMPANY_CODE dimensions and then only it will work at parent level as it will lock all the base members and hence automatically the data at parent will not change.

We have tried the option.

Status is changing for base members, only thing is the current status not changed to Approve for parent node activity.

It's a 2 step process. First, you set target status for all descendants (in case not all of them are in that status). Second, you set that status for the parent node.

Please provide some screen prints of how you have setup your work status (driving dimensions) and the context when you are changing the work status, base level or parent level?

Hello,

What happens when you click “apply” and Okay?  Do you see any entries for CC_DUMMY2, ACT and 2014.W03? The following is how you can check.

All work status states are saved in a table that is dynamically generated.  Please find the name of the table by executing UJ0_GET_GEN_TABNAME.  Look in this table for any entries for CC_DUMMY2, ACT and 2014.W03.

Hello,

when you click on Ok or Apply, then open again the change work status User Interface you have to see in field current status: "save data".

If no could you please tell us if there is any error or warning message dispalyed?

Also did you try to put in your Owner property directly the name of your user (with which you try to change the work status) and not the team?

We have tried the all the possible options but no luck,

Work status is working fine for other than parent node.

Is any one confirm that work status works for parent node or not??

Hello Goud,

I think I understand better what you are trying to do.  Are you  trying to set the status for the parent level member CC_DUMMY2 only? If I am correct then check the following.

Unlocked state?  I don't see that in the list which is strange, you may have to fix that first.

You can check the value from the backend.  Please go to the server and check the content of UJW_STATCODE.  If you don't find a row for 'Unlocked" you may have to add it.  In my test system there is a row for Unlocked and the value of ControlBy is set to 2 which means both manager and owner can change the state.
