Why do we need Allowance concept ?

Hello experts,

As per my understanding, Allowance is needed to give credit points to customer which customer can use to consume before it starts getting charged. Example free 15 minutes in calls for new contract.

I was able to achieve this solution just using persistent counter, without using allowance. So my question is what does allowance provides extra?

Hello 

the allowance logic allows to set up some pricing rules with a life cycle shorter than the contract one. You can uncorrelate the allowance logic to the contract logic.
