While return the budget, error occurs "Annual Budget exceeded by XXX EUR for document item 2

Hello Friends,

I am trying to return the amount released in Fund, Commitment Item and Fund Center

However, I get the below error:

Annual budget exceeded by 89,317.15 EUR (FM PB Availability Control) for document item 000002

Please note that the available budget is released but not yet consumed.

Can you please suggest, what could be the reason for this error?

Hello Saurabh,
Have you tried to check the FMAVCR01 transaction? Please enter in that transaction and check for the available budget searching for the account assignment displayed in first screenshot.

You can check in production and quality to see if it is the same amount and if there is enough budget

Thank you for your reply.

As you suggested, I checked the total budget of the Commitment Item and it was less than what I was returning for this fund.

I was returning 523600 EUR. However, the available budget was 434,282.85.

So, basically you are saying that you were returning more than you had. Why are you surprised by the error, then? 🙂

Still ,check your AVC settings: it is not normal that you can't run FMAVCREINIT

Hi,

If you are sure that you have enough budget following your AVC rules that you set up, then try and run FMAVCREINIT to see if the problem is solved. If it's not the case, you might want to investigate deeper how your AVC strategy is defined, if it's dependent on particular budget type, for example, etc.

It seems that the budget is sufficient. I released 500000 EUR but i am trying to return this budget.

Also, I ran FMAVCREINIT but I got the error "Control Ledger 9H cannot be reinitialized".

what should I check for AVC ?

It looks like your settings are not complete. Do you have 9H ledger in your AVC?

Yes. I can see 9H in AVC.

Surprisingly, the same scenario is getting posted in Quality system but showing error in production.
