What is Unique Consignment Reference Number

Hi All,

Just wondering

What is UCR Number,

How to make it determined in the customs declaration automatically and What is its configuration or is it just a field where we can manually make entry between 12 and 35 characters? I tested it making manual entry which did not work.

Although I have understood from the following link about it https://shippingandfreightresource.com/what-is-a-ucr-number-and-who-needs-it/ and refered few other links.

I tried to search the nodes and there sub nodes in GTS to check if I could find any terms related to UCR (Unique Consignment Reference Number) without any success may be I need to search again? I will.

Hi Alex,

Automatic creation needs to be turned on in the Activity Sequence, and the FTO must have either EORI or BIN assigned, and the Country Code maintained in the address (if the BIN is used).

The UCR then appears as soon as the Declaration is created.

The UCR meets the basic WCO standard, and uses the Declaration number and year as the 'variable' after the hyphen.

I have gone through the configuration check and I am updating here for any future reference for newbies like me

SPRO - IMG - GTS - Customs Management - Gen Settings - Configure Determination Procedure for Dynamic Field Labels - Field Label Determination Procedure - GB_Exports -

Fields for Label Determination Procedure - H_ARNNR Header UCR Number and I_ARNNR Item UCR Number can be used for UCR No. Configuration.
