Hi Arun,

GTM is used to control processes of international trade. In international trade the trader does both: purchasing and selling goods. He manages a small number of vendor and customers and is expert for his product (groups) and regions of the world. GTM provided a unified UI for all processes. Everything in this business is hand made: The disposition is done by association of sales and purchase items of trading contract. It has more drop shipment than stock shipment. Prices can change every day, which also the reason why we mainly talk in terms of quantities rather then in turnover. The international trade calculation is done by linking trading contracts and is based on the cost price and NOT on the average moving price or standard price. The pre-calculated price is followed by a post-calculated price per trade. Expenses might change and every pland and unplaned expenses can be postet in relation to a trading contract. GTM has a scpecial function for expense management.

Furthermore we have trade processes like swap, barter or paper trades, which can be implemented with GTM.

You see - retail business, mail order, wholesale and international trade are not a like and that is the reason, why SAP support its customers with different functionallities.

Cheers,

Peter
