What does Migrate Global Data do on BPC_MIGRATE_TO_HANA?

Hi,

We are migrating a SAP BPC 10.0 Environment (non-HANA) to SAP BPC 10.1 on HANA.

After restoring, when we run BPC_MIGRATE_TO_HANA, one of the dialogue questions are "Migrate Global Data?"

What does this option do? What happens if I check it? What happens if I don't check it?

Many thanks

Nick

Hi Raf,

Thanks for the reply. (I saw the first bit, but not the empty method). Looks like it doesn't do anything, as you say.

The first time I did a migration, I left it off, and it all seemed to work OK.

I do like the "HAHA" bit 😉

Appreciated.

hey Nick, have you figured it out yet? I'm faced with the same option right now..

in the code it seems to apply only in this bit

digging a bit deeper gives me

so I guess at the moment (BW7.5 SP05) it doesn't do anything just yet?

the final message is kind of "funny"

(it seems we migrated to HAHA instead of HANA) 🙂
