Hi guys,
Just want to ask some insights regarding the roles of BW guys in a BPC project? Do they play a big role? For example, aside from extracting data in ECC to BW and designing the providers in BW, do they still need to do other things? Do they setup something "different" in ECC side? Will they be involved in BPC tasks?
Thank you.
Loed
Request clarification before answering.
It depends on what BPC variant is implemented: standard or embedded... Please explain.

Thanks for your info ekaterina and vadim..
Regarding the authorization, I think the BASIS team is usually assigned to it..I'm just not sure..I will just validate with the team..
Anyway, thanks a lot!

Hi Loed,
Depends on BPC Team knowledge and experience.
BPC Team should be able to check UJ* transactions and tables, dumps, logs, to execute UJ* programs etc. themselves, to open OSS Messages and to contact SAP Support explaining what has happened starting from the back-end. If not, BW team should take these tasks.
And taking care of ETL-s and pure BW-authorizations is already a lot, especially when more than one source system exists and/or source system(s) is not only ECC(s).
Regards
Ekaterina
