US Re-Export - FTO does not exists

Hi All,

I am using GTS 10.1 version,

I am trying to flagged products for US-re export. As a pre requisite I have created FTO for Re- export.

While adding the entry in product, I am getting error “Foreign trade organization XXXXX for re-export does not exist".

If i try the same thing again it allows me to add the FTO entry in the system.

Now I have developed a program to do the mass upload, but I am getting the same error.

Can anyone help me in this, I need to avoid the above error.

Hi Hitesh,

Make sure that you have assigned the FTO to the Legal Unit corresponding to the Plant that you are using.

Thanks for the reply ,

If I dont maintain the FTO re-export to Legal unit assignment , it should take all the Legal unit which are assigned to FTO , am I correct ?

I have not maintained any Legal unit for the FTO Re export but there is a normal assigment present FTO-LU.

First time it gives error , but I am able to add the entry in product master during second attempt.

Hi Hitesh,

No, I think you do have to maintain the assignments.  Please try it and see if the error is suppressed.

As for the "second time ok" effect, I can't comment without looking into the code (maybe later)...
