Upgrading to SAP CC 4.0 from SAP CC 3.0

Hello,

When we try to upgrade to 4.0. we get errors when executing SQL files. We try to create existing objects in database.

We are still using the SAP Convergent Charging 3.0 4.4.17.1. version. The last version we apply is SP17.

In the document https://me.sap.com/notes/2217552/E only the migration to Support Package 16, patch 36 is mentioned.

Sincerely,

Hello Eric,
Thanks for your feedback.
But I still have the same problem. I downloaded the version of the SAR file (SCC10P_17-20011645.SAR) mentioned in the SAP note 2585469, I work with it. SAPinst uses SQL files (see attachment).
And I have the following error:
ALTER TABLE INSTANCE_KEY_STORE ADD SERVICE VARCHAR2(16 CHAR)
Error: ORA-01430: column being added already exists in table
java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01430: column being added already exists in table
I removed the column from the table to continue, but I get the same type of error.

SAPinst, using SQL requests, tries to create objects that already exist in the database.

Can you help me?

Hello,

the reason is that the SP17 of SAP CC 3.0 was released after the SP 10 of SAP CC 4.0.

In order to to the Upgrade, you have to use the binary of the Patch 17 of SAP CC 4.0 SP10 instead of the one form the SP10.

See the SAP note https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2585469

Best regards,
