Hi Vadim,

I got my answer from SAP, there was an error on a previous installation guide that has been rectified.

2173584 - UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT upgrading BPC to version 10.1

Thanks for your reply.

Regards,

Caroline

"Do you still need to activate the Environment shell as per the installation guide, running program UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT? Or will this be part of the restore (UJBR) process." - YES! UJBR will restore only production environment that was save in 10.1

Hi Vadim,

We are migrating from BPC 10.1 to BPC 11.0, on BW4HANA. Using the Remote conversion on a fresh install, and Transaction UJBR to migrate the custom Environment from the Production BPC 10.1 to the new BPC 11.0 on BW4HANA.

Do you still need to activate the Environment shell as per the installation guide, running program UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT? Or will this be part of the restore (UJBR) process.

Regards,

Caroline

Hi Sue,

Do you still need to activate Environment shell as per the installation guide, running program UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT? And then run Transaction UJBR to restore the custom environments.

Caroline

Hi,

You can use the standard transaction for Backup and Restore to move a standard implementation from BPC10.1 to BPC11 with transaction UJBR. This will move all the BPC specific functionality.

Sue
