Upgarde EPM 10.1 from EPM 10.0 - Any known issues

Hi All,

We are in the process of upgrading from EPM 10 to EPM 10.1 and also the backend is BW 7.5 on HANA and SP 10.

We don't have BPF's.

I tested and found few minor issues and worked with SAP support team.

Do you guys encountered any issues during the upgrade from EPM 10 to EPM 10.1.

Also any document available in SDN which shows the delta between EPM 10 and EPM 10.1.

Hello

I am assuming that you are upgrading from an older version of BW to BW 7.5X. The biggest change between BPC10 and BPC10.1, when it was first released, used to be switching BPC web client platform from FLEX to UI5. However, with BW 7.5X and possibly using HANA for executing MDX queries, possibly for the first time, you will have more unknown issues. BUT, the good news is that, if we know there were issues it also means that we have resolved them in the later versions. The following is a list of areas we had the most bug fixes.

1. In the earlier versions we had some issues executing MDX on HANA especially for dimensions with dimension formula.
2. In the earlier versions of BPC 10.1 / BW 7.4 there were some dependencies/compatibility issues between SAP UI5 library and the rest of BW /basis component version but they are resolved for the later versions. Please check KBA 2103585
3. There are version compatibility issues between EPM Add-in and the underlying BW version. Please see KBA 2103585 for details.

Finally, and most importantly, as per SAP policies, we do not guarantee that any of your customizations would work.
