Unable to pass entry in GL account Document- Error cost center was not created

I am fresh to SAP. When i tried to pass entry in GL Account Document, i got an error message " an entry is required in cost center for account" . Then i created cost center under my company Nokia. but created cost center is not appearing under cost center. Please do the needful

Hi Sijeesh,

The GL account 10001 being posted to in FB50 screen shown in above snapshot requires a cost account assignment object for the posting to be allowed.

The cost center created needs to be maintained manually in the respective line item against the GL account for the document to be posted.

Please try to enter the value of the cost center manually in the entry field for cost center
