Unable to add hierarchy nodes in BPC Web, S4HANA RTC

1,919

Hi Experts,

Could you please guide me on the below issue, am unable to see hierarchy nodes(edit hierarchies in BPC web) in BPC web for /ERP/GL_ACCT but I can see MD for other IO i.e, /ERP/ECOMP.. etc. Do you experience any such issues with your S4HANA RTC dimension maintenance.

Is there anything I need to do in the backend to fix this issue

I tried to create a query where /ERP/GL_ACCT is available, where I can see the parent node S001 only, can see the child node in the report. (Bex and AO)

HANA view RTC_C_GLACCOUNT does contain data for my COA.

/ERP/GL_ACCT is a virtual info object and by default their members and hierarchies will be based on the Financial Statement Version. Therefore you shouldn't need to update this in BPC at all.

By the way, one of the model parameterisations is actually the Chart of Accounts from FI, what are you selecting in there?

Remember that RTC will leverage the Group COA - so as a configuration preparation, you need to set up the GCOA, assign the GCOA to your Operational COA(s) and assign the corresponding G. Account to the each Op. GL Account. Furthermore, you would need to create a GCOA FSV that will be than used in RTC.

If your FSV is not being shown in /ERP/GL_ACCT, you need to run t-code: HRRP_REP - FIN Runtime Hierarchy Replicator

Hi Lucas,

thanks for your prompt answer.

By the way, one of the model parameterisations is actually the Chart of Accounts from FI, what are you selecting in there? --- i have selected GCOA here.

Furthermore, you would need to create a GCOA FSV that will be than used in RTC. -- is it required to create one more FSV on GCOA as same as operational COA.

we have a FSV on operational COA.

HRRP_REP - FIN Runtime Hierarchy Replicator- i did run for FSV on op COA and it is not showing the child nodes in BPC

Yes, you need a FSV for your GCOA. And then run the replicator.

I had a situation here, where I needed to use the OCOA, so I assigned it to the model. The problem is that in 1610, every time I re-generate the views, I have fix the view ("model"_GA) that lookup GCOA.

Lucas, I am also using 1610 , how did you fix model_GA view?

Hey man, suggest checking the snote 2554579

With this one you can flag the model to use the Same Chart of Accounts from ACDOCA.

If this is on, the "_GA" view won't be generated/required.

Thanks Lucas, I can see the option after implementing SAP note, though it was not mentioned in the note anywhere 🙂

Hi Rakesh,

It's there... in the solution section:

"Added an option of using "Same Chart of Accounts". In case you have all your operational Chart of Accounts same as the group Chart of Account, you can choose this option."

Cheers

Yeah that's right, but note was talking more about currency translation with group currency number so didn't see it earlier. Thanks Lucas.
