UJBR Restore Error - Restoring across product release is not supported

Hi expert,

Scenario : Restoring BPC 7.5 Appset to BPC 10.1 HANA on BW 7.5

Another UJBR restore error I am encountering - this time when I execute the restore process I have encounter this error :

- Restoring across product release is not supported

I did not encounter this error when I am using the same backup 7.5 archived file to restore on to the BPC 10.1 on BW 7.4 version.

Sorry my mistake. The old BW version which the BPC 7.5 sits on is BW 7.01 SP 16

Hi Elvin,

have you tried the trick to modify the Metadata.XML?

must be a bug in BW 7.5, like the older versions.

also open a ticket with SAP.

try what is mentioned in the post?

changing the BPC release value.

or if you have an ABAPer ask them to debug the restore program and see which value gives that error message.

the SP level for BW 7.5 is SP 2

and what is your old BPC SP level?

does it have required SP level?

The old 7.5 BPC SP level is 16

And by the way the correct BW version where the old BPC 7.5 sits on is BW 7.01

We are unable to apply this SAP Note is because there is no more CPMBPC software component in BW 7.5
