Two GTQ systems

Hi,

we would like to set up a system landscape with 2 GTQ systems, each connected to a specific ERP quality system and with different customizing. So it would be RSQ 100 to GTQ 100 and RSQ 200 to GTQ 200.The 100er systems would be the regular transport route, the 200er for specific project what require specific customizing for a certain time. Is this possible? Has anybody experience with handling system copies with this scenario?

Thanks and best regards,

Carsten

Hi Dave,

thanks, but I think our situation is different as our Q systems are connected to one development system and so we have to avoid transporting coding from the dev system to q100, but not to q200. When I understand you right, you have 2 different dev systems where you have no common source, as it is the "intial" system.

Best regards,

Carsten

Hi Carsten,

Yes, I have experience of that arrangement - it's perfectly possible. In one example, we had the arrangement in the Development systems; client 100 of each system was the "sandbox", client 200 was the main configuration client. The two sandbox clients frequently had different configuration settings, and were used to prototype and prove the design before the work was carried forwards in the main client(s).

In that example, the configuration in client 100 of each system was not transported, but to do so should be a simple "ask" of the Basis team.

I hope that helps.

Regards,
Dave
